Cameron was lost in thought.

“Ashley, I promise I won't let you lose,” he assured her. In truth, Cameron was torn. Emotionally, he didn't want Nathalie to be defeated. But logically, he understood the Dawson family's interests couldn't afford a setback. Losing would mean losing his most loyal ally.

He had always been a man of reason.

Ashley flashed a bright smile, “Cameron, with you on my side, I can breathe easy.”

Benjamin and Jaime, noticing Cameron's decision, quickly joined in, “Since Cameron's backing Ashley, we're all in too.”

Suddenly, a wave of excitement swept through the room.

“Look, the heiress of Dawson Enterprises is here.”

“She’s absolutely gorgeous.”

“And her presence is so commanding.”

“No wonder they call her the princess.”

Nathalie approached the girl who had complimented her, taking off her sunglasses to reveal a pair of sharp, intelligent eyes.

“I’m not a fan of the ‘princess’ label. Could you find something else for me?”

The girl, taken by Nathalie’s beauty and playful charm, couldn't resist teasing, “Why don’t you like being called a princess?”

Nathalie shot a piercing look at Cameron, “Just like a prince, it’s all too fleeting and cursed. Not exactly lucky.”

It was a subtle dig at Cameron, hinting that his success was as temporary as a shooting star.

Her sharp wit and biting comments somehow made her a heroine for the strong, independent women who admired her.

“Wow, she’s fierce.”

Nathalie walked towards Cameron, her path accompanied by a chorus of admiration.

She suddenly covered her mouth, “Oh, I forgot, you’re the one who got ahead as the other woman. So naturally, you trust him.”

She shot them a look, “You two better stick together. Don’t go wrecking anyone else’s life.”

Cameron’s expression turned dark, “Nathalie, if you’re here to cause trouble, you’re not welcome.”

Even when she needed something, she was this bold. Cameron thought her way of thinking was truly unique.

Nathalie, after having her fun with words, remembered why she was there.

She looked at Cameron, “Should we talk here or somewhere else?”

“Your call,” Cameron replied, not bothering to hide his irritation.

Nathalie said, “Then let’s chat here. After all, it’s not my reputation at stake.”
