Chapter 30
Chapter 30
Sophia shut off her computer, stretched lazily, and was about to grab her clothes for a shower when her hand paused mid air. Her eyes turned cold
When she left earlier, she’d left her closet door slightly open–but now it was shut tight.
Π
She pulled it open. The big closet only held a few of her own outfits and the ones she’d taken from Wette that morning. Nothing looked out of place
Sophia casually picked up one of the dresses, not bothering to check it carefully. Her movements were rough. The moment she bigged on the waistline,
it ripped open.
She checked several more dresses. Some had seams split at the waist, others under the arms or at the back.
These dresses were meant for Wette to wear on a variety show–one that aired live. If Sophia wore them on carter tomorrow and one of them burst open, she’d be totally humiliated.
Expressionless, Sophia grabbed the ruined dresses and stormed downstairs, then threw them all at Yvette’s head.
“What are you doing?” Wette pushed the clothes away, acting like she was being bullied. “Sophia, I already let you have the dresses. What more do you
want
Without a word, Sophia grabbed her by the hair and slammed her onto the couch, pinning her down with one knee against her lower back.
“I’m in a bad mood, and I feel like killing you,” she growled, then slapped Yvette hard across the face.
Yvette let out a cry of pain. “Let me go!”
Sophia grinned wide, showing her teeth. Her face twisted with rage–she looked like a full–on villain.
She dragged Yvette by the hair to the downstairs bathroom, kicked her to the floor, grabbed the showerhead, and blasted her with freezing cold water.
“Sophia, what are you doing?” Yvette curled up tight, hugging herself and sobbing. “I don’t know what I did to you. Why are you treating me like this?
“We’re sisters—why do you hate me so much? I know you don’t want me back, but this is my home too. I just want to stay with Mom and Dad. I never tried to take anything from you. Why are you like this?”
Soaked from head to toe, Yvette hugged herself like a pitiful gel being bullied by a villain
Sophia looked at her and suddenly felt a wave of satisfaction. She laughed, but her eyes were like a dark abyss–cold, empty, without a trace of light.
“You’re really asking me why? That’s hilarious,” Sophia said. “Wette, don’t you want to be the only daughter of the Chandler family? I’ll make it happen for you.”
What she meant was sending Yvette–and the rest of the Chandler family–straight to hell. But Yvette didn’t get it. She just curled into a ball, soaking wet, hugging herself tight, hair sticking to her face, looking totally pathetic
“Sophis, what are you doing?” Heather screamed as she ran over, trying to take the showerhead from her, but stopped cold when Sophia shot her
glare.
“You…….” Heather froze as soon as she met Sophia’s or cold, violent eyes. Her hand slowly dropped.
“What are you doing? Will you only be satisfied when this whole family is in ruins?” Heather didn’t dare fight Sophia for the showerhead, and though she was clearly scared, her worry for Yvette still came out on top.
“Get out of my face!”
“Sophia snapped, tossing the showerhead aside. Then she yanked Yvette into the living room.
“Take a good look at these dresses. Don’t you love them? Then I’m giving all of them to you” She grabbed a pair of scissors, putting on a vicious act, and pretended to stab wette.

Chapter 30
Yvette screamed and crouched down, hugging her head, shaking like a leat Heather was so terified her face turned pals, almost passing out. They both thought Sophia had completely lost it
Sophia gave a big bright smile and walked over to pat Yvette’s cheek. Her expression twisted, the cut into every single dress with the scissors
Sophia slept until after five in the afternoon. In a dare, she heard disordered footsteps outside and unfamiliar voices. Though the voices were soft, they seeped into her ears in a constant murmur, keeping her from sleeping soundly
out in a cold sweat, her face pale, as she sank deeper into a recurring nightmare she couldn’t escape.
“Everyone in the Chandler family is outstanding. How is Sophia the exception? Maybe it’s a genetic mutation”
“She’s so young, yet already full of malice. She spends all day picking on Yvette–her jealousy is out of control.”
“Yvette is kind–hearted, gentle, and considerate. She never stoops to Sophia’s level. If Sophia were my daughter, I would’ve kicked her out of the house long ago. She’s an embarrassment.”
