Adrienne watched from above, a wave of triumphant vindication washing over her. For once, she burst out in a brazen laugh and shouted, “It’s Jasmine, Elbert, Meredith, and Paden. Did you all see that?”
The crowd roared back, “We did.”
“Hey, wasn’t there a livestream apology challenge promised?”
“Oh my god. They kept saying Valerie was showing off and would crash and burn, but look who actually did. This is killing me.”
“Weren’t you planning a livestream? Is there anything we can help with?”
Their faces instantly darkened with humiliation and rage.
Jasmine snapped, “Don’t push it.”
Meredith flushed crimson with shame, not daring to utter a word.
Although Adrienne was usually introverted, she was no pushover.
Adrienne had had enough of Jasmine’s antics, and seeing her still trying to get out of it, Adrienne planted her hands on her hips and snapped, “How am i the one going too far? Did I force you to say those things? Don’t make bets you can’t pay. How disgusting.”
“Yeah, disgusting. I’ve got video evidence right here,” someone in the crowd shouted. “The whole thing’s recorded–if you try to deny it, I’ll post everything on the forum for everyone to see.”
“Damn, why does this feel so damn good?”
“Man, not gonna lie. Same here.”
Elbert slunk over to Adrienne’s side, looking sheepish. “Come on, it’s my first offense. I just got carried away–can’t you cut me some slack?”
Adrienne shot him a look of pure disdain. “You were the loudest one laughing just now. And you still have the nerve to say that?”
Elbert scratched his face and said awkwardly, “Come on, I already admitted I was wrong. You’re not really gonna make me do a handstand and apologize,
are you?”
Adrienne gave a derisive snort, turned to Jasmine, and asked, “What about you?”
Jasmine’s face twisted in anger as she spat, “What’s it to you? How is this any of your business? Or are you just trying to ride Valerie’s coattails now that she’s latched onto some sugar daddy?”
This time, even Elbert couldn’t take it anymore. He sneered, “Jasmine, you’re such a joke. I’ve never seen anyone as shameless as you in my life. It’s bad enough you have a filthy mouth, but don’t you have any decency at all?
“That post you made on the forum–how could you slander Valerie like that? Now that your lies are exposed, not only do you refuse to apologize, but you’re still acting so disgustingly. Who the hell raised you to be like this? Seriously, you make me sick.”
Just moments ago, they were allies fighting side by side, but now Elbert had turned on her out of nowhere.
This sudden betrayal caught Jasmine completely off guard; her face twisted as she snapped, “What nonsense are you spouting? I have no idea what you mean.”
What? So it was Jasmine who posted that on the forum?
“Damn, I knew it. That tone was definitely the roommate’s–holy shit, that’s so malicious. Just one post turned so many people against Valerie. Ugh, it’s disgusting. Spreading such vicious rumors–if someone had less resilience, they could’ve ended up depressed because of it.”

Chapter 105
“To be honest, I think Valerie’s resilience is really impressive. She still comes to school acting like nothing happened if I were in her shoes, I’d totally lose it and just hide at home, too scared to show my face.”
“And besides, even though she was clearly misunderstood just now, she stayed totally calm and composed. She wasn’t pushy or aggressive, and she definitely didn’t snap at people like a madwoman the way certain people do. You can just tell she’s got real class”
“Yeah, same here. But wait? Is that livestream apology still on? Let’s go.”
“Holy shit. I can’t freaking wait to see this.”
“Me too. I feel like I can already imagine it.”
The unanimous backlash made Jasmine’s face alternate between livid pale and furious red, stifled by humiliation and rage.
Meredith was on the verge of tears from embarrassment, while Paden, who had just bragged about doing a handstand while apologizing, now looked
uneasy.
He said, “I’m sorry. I’ll post a public apology to Valerie on the forum. We’re all classmates. Just let it go, okay? Adrienne, I know you’re reasonable. Jasmine, what do you think?”
Adrienne stared at them coldly, utterly disgusted.
Jasmine’s eyes reddened with embarrassment, humiliation, and resentment. She seethed with hatred toward Valerie. But surrounded by all these voices, she finally lowered her head and muttered, “We’re all classmates here. Let’s not take this too far, okay? I’ll delete the post.”
“And post a public apology,” Elbert shouted at the top of his voice. “Everyone, listen up. Jasmine will delete the post and then make a new one, apologizing to Valerie and for all those awful things she said.”
Meredith felt utterly humiliated, casting a furtive glance at Jasmine.
Jasmine shouted in humiliated fury, “I know. I’ll apologize, okay?”
Elbert said, “Slandering Valerie is bad enough, but then you go and fabricate this nonsense about her wanting to steal your boyfriend? Ridiculous. She’s already married to someone as amazing as Aiden. Even if she weren’t, she wouldn’t give your boyfriend a second glance, seriously.
“Birds of a feather. You’re the only one who’d fawn over a boyfriend like that–seriously, who else would even want him? It’s hilarious that you’re worriec someone might steal him.”
Adrienne added sharply, “And you’d better include an apology for stealing Valerie’s skincare products and clothes, too. We won’t let you slander her without consequences.”
“Good lord. How much more vile stuff has she done? Adrienne, spill everything–don’t hold back.”
“I wanna know too. How low can she possibly sink?”
