Kevin walked into Alexander’s office, his expression confused. “Sir, I just received a call from the hospital, your mother… 

“What happened to my mother?” Alex asked, rising to his feet. 

“She… She… I don’t know how to explain it. 

Alex sped down to the hospital. Kevin’s words didn’t make any sense. There was no freaking way. 

He rushed down the hospital. How heart jumping. 

He walked into the room, and dozens of doctors lined up with curiosity in their faces. They said his mother has walked, but that wasn’t possible. Even if she was recovering from her illness, there were stages that were to be followed. 

Brianna looked at him the moment she was him again. “You are all grown up again, Alex. I saw you just know, you were a little boy.” 

“What is going on here? Alex asked, walking up to the doctors. 

The lead doctor stepped forward and replied. “Mrs. Brianna was found in the hallway, walking. She said she was looking for. Mrs. Emina. 

“Emma!” Brianna shouted. “I saw Emma just now! Tell her to come out here. I want to speak to her again” 

“Emma wasn’t here, mom!” 

“But she was, Alex. I saw her.” Brianna argued. But no one believed her. 

The doctors began running tests; if there was a tiny chance that Brianna could go back home, then Alex was ready to spend anything. 

As Alexander was about to leave, Brianna spoke again. Alex, for once, believe me. I saw your wife.* 

“I’m no longer married to her mom. Alex replied and walked out of the room. 

Emma was walking out of the hospital with Emily and Ethan when they ran into Jaden, the guy who had hit her car days ago at the hospital. 

“Uncle Jaden!” Ethan shouted. Ethan noticed Jaden first. 

Jaden was caught off guard and walked up to them immediately. He saw them. 

“What are you doing here?” Jaden asked. 

“Emily needs treatment. What about you?” 

“I had the flu. I’ve called your number a couple of times after the day; you’ve not been picking up my calls.” 

Jaden… I’m so sorry, but. Emma tried to say. 

She put her kids in the car and walked a couple away from it. She needed to talk to Jaden privately. 

“You can’t go around calling me Emma here.” 

“Why?” Jaden asked with confusion.

“Long story that I’m not planning to share with you.”

“But if you want us to get along. I want you to call me by the name Carol. She said it in a serious tone. She needed to address that before things got out of hand. 

“Okay, fine.” He gave up. “Nice meeting you, Carol; I will like to know more about you.” He said, stretching out his hand for a handshake.

Alexander couldn’t sleep all night. His mind kept going back to his mother’s last words to him that day. “Alex, for once, believe me. I saw your wife.” 

His mother has been known for saying a lot of things that don’t make sense since her dementia began, but the look in her eyes when she had spoken to him at that time looked too serious 

What if she was right? What if she has actually seen Emma? 

That would answer a lot of things that had been going on in his life recently. 

He texted Kevin, telling him to get him the surveillance footage of that floor. If truly what his mother was saying was the truth, he will find out by himself. 

He awoke the next working to the footage that he had requested, and his anger coursed through him. He couldn’t believe it. Emma hadn’t just returned to the country; she wasright under his nose.
