I looked up in between laughs and saw Chase with Flynn and another girl I haven't seen yet. I waved at him, hoping he saw me. Waving back he made his way over with his friends.
"Briar, can I talk to you tonight?" He asked after giving me a hug and waving to my friends.
"Yeah, where?" I looked up at him.
"Your special place?" He questioned scratching the back of his neck, practically making me melt in the view.
"Um, yeah, yeah." I answered trying to hide my flushed face.
"Cool. see you tonight? When the moon is at its highest point?"
"Yes," I simply answered getting lost in his eyes.
"See you then." He smiled making me swoon.
"Yup," I responded again. I swear he will be the death of me. He's perfect in every way. I put my straw back in my mouth before I said anything stupid and watched as they walked away.
"You good?" Jayden asked, touching my back.
"Yup."
"Bri, he's gorgeous." Evie claimed.
"Ugh, I know." I sighed, standing up everyone followed and began my birthday shopping.
{Chase's POV}
We left the mall not long after seeing Briar and her friends, we were on our way out anyway. I proposed the idea of walking out the way we did because I wanted to check out a store, but that wasn't the case. Allison and Flynn didn't know this but I smelt Briar and that's how I realized she was there.
Unfortunately, there's still a part of me that knows waiting to tell Briar is the right thing to do, but there's also this large part of me that wants to say "fuck it" and tell her so I can finally have her as my own. That wouldn't be fair to her though and I refuse to ruin her experience of finding out on her own.
Zoning out the whole ride home, I got in and made my way to my room. Turning my light on, I grabbed my guitar that was off to the side by my door. Sitting on my windowsill, I played around with some chords-some of them are mine and some of them are from other songs.
