When the bell rang he walked me to class, interlacing our fingers. I blushed at his sudden romantic affection towards me. Pushing a strand of hair behind my ears, I held Tala back who tried to break down the barrier. When I got in front of the classroom, I shivered at the sudden blast of cool air. Chase took off his jacket and gave it to me to wear. Blushing, I thanked him. I am blushing way too much this morning. He interlaced our fingers again and brought my hand to his lips, kissing the back of my hand.
He shoved his hands in his pockets as he walked away, meeting up with Flynn as he did and doing their little handshake. When I walked into the class, I was getting glares from the girls and growls from she-wolves. I continued to the back of the class where Cooper was playfully glaring at me. I blushed and hit his chest.
As I sat down, I pulled Chase's jacket around my body, his scent flooding my nose. I took in as much of his woodsy, minty smell, that calmed me. I half listened to my teacher and half texted whoever I could, including Chase.

Right after lunch, I walked with Evie, Cooper and Jayden to the boy's locker room so they can get something. Evie and I sat outside on the wall across from the door. As boys walked out, they eyed us and winked at us. We ignored them and continued our conversation.
"Well, well, well. Just the person we were looking for." We looked up and were met with the gazes of two werewolves from a neighboring pack. I could sense the amount of power radiating off of them, but not as much as what radiates off of Flynn.
"Beta and Gamma?" I asked pointing to them. They nodded and I continued talking to Evie.
"Because of you, two of our pack members were killed." I snapped my head up.
"It's not my fault that your friends got killed." I assured them standing up, knowing I'd be a child compared to them.
"It is if the reason they were killed was because hunters were looking for you and thought our friends was you hiding in a bush." The Gamma explained. I gaped in horror knowing that hunters were after me.
