Sam felt the sting of humiliation wash over him, stripping him of all dignity in an instant.

The entire Morgan family stared at Maren, left speechless by shock.

Maren had endured enough of their greed. Without another word, she turned and strode confidently upstairs, leaving everyone downstairs frozen in silence.
