Stormclaw appeared at the top of the stairs just moments later, making his way towards Isla’s room.

He’d kept vigilant watch for days outside the villa, deeply concerned about Maren, who’d gone without rest for

far too long.

From time to time, he had peeked in to ensure they were okay.

“You’re finally awake, Isla!” Stormclaw hurried to her bedside, joy brightening his expression as he examined

her condition.

He was one of Maren’s closest confidants, and Isla knew him well.

“I’m so relieved you’re awake now,” he added.

Back on the ferry, Maren never gave him and Simon the signal they’d awaited anxiously, causing them growing unease during their wait.

“Were you successful with the assignment?” Maren asked.

After handling the ferry situation, Maren hadn’t brought Stormclaw or Simon back; instead, she’d sent them
