***Melanie's POV. ***

I grunted in pains as I flickered my eyes open.

The light shined right at my face and I grunted and shut them back.

They were just too bright.

I made a painful sound and made to stand up when I couldn't even use my arms.

I fell back to the bed due to the excessive pain and felt right in my arms.

They were just too much.

"aaaarghhh.... "

Was all I could say as I felt helpless.

We're was I?

Who took me in?

I couldn't be dead could I?

I was able to seat up after a while and I couldn't even feel my legs which was wrapped in a thick bandage..

I was quiet as I looked around the room.

There was a huge window in the room and a table besides me.

There is a plate and a flask placed neatly on it.

The room had a little chair and a wooden door.

It was thrown open after a while and a lady with the scariest eyes I've ever seen came it.

Her eyes were like that of a cat as they were big and round.

She walked up to me and sat down next to me before taking my arms in hers and checking something's in me.

A lot of questions where running through through my mind but I could only keep shut.

She then used her hands to widened my eyes and looked into them with a touch light.

"her pulse is fine...  The eyes are a little abnormal for a phoenix..  She's got a lot of broken bone and is very very weak.. "

I heard her said as if talking to someone and the door opened a moment later before an elderly woman came in.

She also had the same eyes as the girl as she walked up to were I was.

"hello.  I'm Kyla..... We found you in a coma.

You need a lot of rest I'll talk to you later.

I'll ask my daughter to bring in your food now.. "

She said not even answering my question properly.

"who exactly are you? Where did you find me and we're am I? "

I threw all the questions that have being bugging me since I woke up right at her .

"you can chat her a bit Lulu before coming to get the food!"

The woman told the girl before leaving.

"Hi I'm lulu.  And that was my mother Kayla.  We're both foxes if you may want to know.

Where regarded as the special healers and we are the best at what we do.

My mother and I actually went overboard from our little pack to hunt for herbs for her medicines when we came across a burning and tattered pack.

We found a lot of people injured including the men,women and children.  We treated those who were alive and came across  you.

Your case was worse and you were seriously hurt so we took you back along with use here.

We are aware you are a phoenix and hesitated to take you along  with use but the people at that burning pack vouched for you saying you helped them a lot and fought for them.

So we took you along and since then we've treated you.  This is the first time you've waken up since we came here... "

She muttered answering most of my questions in a run.

"for how long have I being out? "

I asked her.

"you've being out for three weeks now.. "

She muttered.

I spranged to my feet and fell back down due to the pains I felt..

"easy.. "

She tried to coax me back.

"no!  I need to get back home.

My mother...  And Ryker... No! That alpha king better not have married that witch or him and I will have a really big and serious problem!"

I snapped and broke down in tears.

"I'm sorry phoenix.  We will help you heal and return home but it will take at least a week for you to completly heal and have to be strong first! "

She said.

I sobered down and whipped my tears.

"Thank you...

But I have a very huge mission on my shoulders right now and it needs to be taken care of..

By the way, what type of fox are you? "

I asked her.

"I'm a nine tailed fox phoenix.  We are a little pack of 50 members that live right across the human world.."

She answer and I looked at her with total surprise.

"does that mean you live way beyond the werewolf world? "

I asked and she shook her head in accordance.

"the human world stand between this world and the Phoenix world.

We live along with the sirens."

She answered and I ruffled my head withy already painful hands.
