***general POV***

The weather was cold as alpha Ryker sat in a hotel room in New York.

He had a cigarette in his hands and a glass of wine was on the table next to him.

He was thinking deeply.

We're could she be?

Was she alive?

He hasn't had a rest for days and it was eating him up.

There were dark eye bags under his lid and they barely stay open.

Melanie, where could you be?

      *** Melanie's  POV***

I smiled as lulu helped me draw up the zipper of my gown.

It wasn't up to a week now and I could walk on my own.

My legs and body hard perfectly healed and I was back to normal.

But I still felt weak.

I didn't have Latisha  besides me and it was taking a toil on me.

"she's here.. "

I heard Kayla say from the door and I turned my head to look at her.

She opened the door wide and the siren seer who had come to see me the other time I woke up came in with her small brown bag.

She walked towards the side of the bed and sat down.

I also sat down besides her on a chair.

Lulu and Kayla glanced at me and I nodded before they joined me.

"are you ready for it?  I can only help you contact one person."

She said and I nodded.

"Here is the crystal.

Put your palms over mine!"

She ordered and I did as she said, placing my hands on hers that were on the blue crystal ball.

"who will you want me to help you contact? Call his or her name twice then close your eyes and don't open them until I tell you to do so..

You will be in a one minute trance and can talk to that person's  mind for only but a minute.

Choose wisely.. "

The woman stated and I nodded.

But who was I to call?

Cole?

Nay, I may bother him too much.

Jaxon?

No!  I still haven't forgiven him and he may not even care if I do.

Charlie? 

She is definitely the best option but I doubt if she can help me with my quest.

Latisha?

I don't know if it works on animals.

There was only one option I was tempted to call.

He may hate me and I do the same for him but it won't hurt to try right.

Grandma said I needed him to complete my task so he should be the one I should call.

Even if I hate him I will still need to call him.

" Ry... Ryker"

I stuttered and closed my eyes.

A moment later I could only see darkness.

"speak now.. Your time is going.."

I heard the sirens voice in my head.

""alpha..  Ryker.. This is me..  Melanie.

I hate to say this but I need you now.

I have a huge Borden on my shoulders and I need you to help me offload them."

I spoke the only thing that came to my mind.

"what... Melanie?  Is that

you?  How did you get into my mind?

We're are you?

Are you hurt.  Please tell me.  Am worried about you.. "

I heard his shocked voice.

I didn't know what to say next.

Was he really worried about me.

That was a first.

"your time is ticking..  Twenty more seconds.. "

I heard the sirens voice in my head.

"I need you to wait for me at the human world.

I would come find you....ummmmmn wait for me in France.  I will come find you myself.  We have a huge job to finish.. "

I muttered.

"please tell me are you fine?... "

Was the last thing I heard him say before our connection was cut short.

I stood up as I carried a small backpack lulu had earlier prepared for me, Flinging it around my back.

"let's go.  I'll drive.. "

Lulu muttered and I followed her out.

"Here's you cellphone.

Don't forget to give me a call once your free."

She added and handed a small cell phone over to me

I took it,throwing it into my hood pocket.

We both exited the room.

*** Ryker's POV***

I had barely lay down to sleep when a mild female voice came to head.

"Ry..Ryker."

I heard her voice in mumbled

Although I didn't know her much I knew it her voice.

I was shocked as I sat upon the bed upright.

"alpha Ryker.... This is me...  Melanie."

I heard her stuttered.

I Quickly looked around to be sure if she was not in the room at the moment.

"I hate to say this now but I need you now. I have a huge burden on my shoulders that I need you to help me offload."

The voice continued.

"what..... Melanie is that you?  How did you get into my mind?  Where are you? Are you hurt? Please tell me... "

I threw questions at her in a sentence.

"I need you to wait for me at the human world.

I would come find you....ummmmmn wait for me in France.  I will come find you myself.  We have a huge job to finish."

I heard her mumble instead of answering my question.

"please tell me you are fine.. "

I panicked and yelled.

But I didn't here her voice again.

"Melanie! Hey Melanie...  Don't f*cking leave me hanging..  Are you there? "

I asked but I didn't get a reply.

I immediately  stood up from the bed and took out the cell phone I had just got.

I immediately booked myself a flight to France.

I had to make it quick in other not to loose my mind.

Zack was jumping up and down in my mind in glee.

"I just heard her voice...  She is fine man.. Let's go fine her.. "

He kept rejoicing and I closed my eyes.

He was disturbing me.
