"I am a sorcerer too not as powerful as Maia's gift but I've trained powerful sorcerers. So I trained her, we made a plan." He explains then looks at me to continue.

"We planned for weeks, we didn't tell anybody otherwise it wouldn't of worked. Tyson made a fake me from powerful magic and we used that to make a deal with you, that's the one you killed. I was safely on the other side of the pack territory. The moment I left the pack's territory I was swapped for my dummy double. Ever since I hid and trained and trained. I figured out that I was the only one who could kill you, thanks to my guardian." I explain glancing at Tyson at the end.

I turn to Austin to see shock written all over his face, he stares at me for what seems like forever before smiling slightly.

"I did it to buy my pack more time and not let you train for it, if you thought I was dead you wouldn't train to try and beat me so you would be weak." I turn back to the Dark One "If you ever think I would let you harm my mate then you have a surprise. You will not hurt my mate."

"Well then," he says shaking his head then laughing evilly "I can beat you little girl, so let's get started."

'Austin, you need to fight now. I'm sorry I can't help with the other wolves, I have to focus on him.' I break the wall down and mind link my mate 'I love you Austin.'

'I love you so much Maia.'

"Gladly." I state bitterly and that's when everything turned around.

Wolves leapt and bit and growled. I watched Austin take down a few wolves before turning to the Dark one just as he shoots out some more fire balls.

I block them then shoot out my hand making his flip backwards and hit the floor hard. He gets up angrily and pinched his fingers in front of him.

I gasp as he chokes me, my hands went to my neck as he slowly lifts me from the floor. My hands flys out once again taking him off his feet making him loose concentration and I fall to the ground chocking.

'Maia! You alright?!' Austin shout urgently in my head.

'Yeah.' I wheeze out and stand up. The Dark One stands angry and tall a few feet away from me.

"Let's get the real party started." He sneers before being surrounded by thick black smoke. Fires start in patches in every direction making the air thicker and harder to breathe.

I watch as the black smoke disappears from around him and gasp. There stands a tall black with red specks and blood red eyes. It's tall but not as tall as Austin and you can see its ribs.

He grips my upper arm and forces me to stand up, my legs aren't fully working so one of my hands hold onto the tree for support.

The Dark One steps back and smirks "look who is the weak one."

"Who are you?" I ask looking at him, his black mask covers his face so you can't see any of his features.

"An old friend." He laughs horribly before slowly gripping the mask in his face and throwing it on the floor.

I gasp and grip the tree tighter.

"Ethan?!" I say covering my mouth with my hand. "Why?!"

"Why?! Because I hated you! You got everything I wanted! You were treated like royalty by all my favourite teachers! You were number one in all my best classes! You got a pack of your own! You got power! And you don't even care! You got everything I wanted, even your gift! I've wanted to kill you from the moment we became 'friends'" he spits out in anger.
