Children screech in excitement and woman laugh at their kids. I look up and smile, the white snowflake land all over my face and I cherish the feeling.
Hands wrap around my eyes and I freeze for a second. Then the tingles kick in and I relax instantly, the smile lights up even more on my face.
"Guess who." He whispers in my ear, I laugh and turn to face him. He stands back up straight and smiles down at me.
His arms wrap around my waist instantly and I go on my tiptoes to land my lips on his. He replies instantly making my toes curl.
My arms find his neck before we break the kiss, I bite my lip feeling then still tingle from his lips.
"I missed you." I say testing my forehead against his.
"I missed you too love." He kisses my nose before holding me tighter, one of his hands finds my baby bump "How is my princess?"
"Well apart from making her mommy very moody and tired, great." I grin up at Austin, my hand finding his on top of our baby.
"You shouldn't be out in this cold." He says turning me is I face him. His eyes hold worry in their green pools, his smile is soft and gentle.
"I know Aus!" I exclaim tiredly, I've heard this speech from everybody about 100 times.
"Well then listen." He chuckles tightening his hold on me "Come on let's go back home."
"Not yet Austin," I groan "I want to enjoy the fresh snow, come on. We never spend private time together anymore, with the kids and your duties always in the way. Well there are no kids here and you have no duties so let's enjoy it."
He smiles sadly and places a soft kiss on my lips "I know princess, I'm so sorry. Don't worry from now on I will make time for you and the kids."
I kiss him back before tugging him along the path I had chosen before he showed up. The snow was now falling fast but gently.
Each snowflake that landed on my nose Austin would kiss. And each time I slipped in the icy ground he would catch me before I even had the chance of falling.
We talk and walk for what seems like hours until we reach our destination. The large lake with the descending waterfall glistens with snow and ice.
The running water washes away any ice trying to freeze it still. The waterfall stands tall and strong as the water beats down into the lake below it.
"Maia?" Austin says and I hmm in reply, I turn my head from the waterfall to where he sits beside me.
"Are you happy?"
"What?" I ask confused, what does he mean?
"Are you happy? Like here. With me and the kids and being Luna. There is nothing more in this world to me than making sure you are happy, I want to know if I'm doing just that." He says caressing the side of my face.
I reach up and place my hand on top of his, I move it and place a smooth kiss on the back of his hand and then his palm. He watches with awaiting eyes.
"I am happy Austin. You make me happy by just seeing you. The kids make me happy. I love being Luna, I love the back, I love our life we've built together just like we dreamed when we first met." I say moving my arms so they hold tight around him, his snake around my waist.
"Are you happy?" I ask pulling away slightly to look deep into his everlasting green eyes.
"I've never been happier in my life." He says kissing my nose once more "I can't believe I ended up with such an amazing mate and kids."
"I can't believe I ended up with an Alpha." I laugh "I thought I was suppose to attend school not deal with you."
"Well would you rather go to school or make out with me?" He smirks now suddenly hovering above me on the snowy earth.
