Selma still seemed uneasy. “The King has been so publicly humiliated, I’m afraid he’ll be furious. Selma still seemed a bit worried. “But Your Highness promised Jessica that tonight you would make things difficult for Priscilla. That wild girl is now Prince Waldo’s favorite. Aren’t you worried that this might hurt Prince Waldo’s feelings?”

Consort Adele casually replied, “Once everything is settled, and after Waldo and Jessica are married, I’ll go to the King and explain. Jessica had just stepped out of Harmony Palace when Monica rushed toward her, clearly anxious. “My lady!”

“Why are your eyes so swollen? Have you been crying?” Jessica frowned.

“They’ve gone too far!” Monica was clearly furious. “My lady, you don’t know what they just said to me! They actually… they actually said…
