Chapter 148
“Alastor, I’m not your possession. I’m a person with feelings.” Anastasia pointed to her heart. “You hurt me so much, and yet you’re still asking me why I’m holding on to these feelings.”
“Is it impossible for us to start over?” Alastor asked in a low voice.
“Let’s end this.” Anastasia felt tired of the relationship.
Alastor remained silent and looked at Anastasia.
However, Anastasia turned around and walked to the subway, ignoring Alastor.
Her marriage had really come to an end at this point.
Anastasia looked up at the night sky, feeling her breath become heavier.
It had been four years since she met Alastor for the first time.
She trusted him wholeheartedly, but he squandered her sincerity.
Life offered numerous possibilities, and she had merely made a wrong choice among them, and that was all.
It was late, and there weren’t many people at the subway station except for a few staggering drunken individuals.
Anastasia subconsciously tried to avoid them.
“Why are you avoiding me?” A drunkard seemed to be unhappy with Anastasia’s dodging.
“Why are you avoiding me?” Drunk people tended to target those they perceived as vulnerable. It was human nature.
There were several tall men beside Anastasia. They also moved aside, but the drunkard only pointed at Anastasia and scolded her.
Anastasia didn’t want to provoke the drunkard, so she turned sideways and was about to leave.
However, the drunkard rushed over.
“Get lost!”
Anastasia was startled and turned around to see Alastor grabbing the drunkard and pushing him away.
Anastasia frowned and continued walking as if she didn’t know Alastor.
She didn’t want to get involved with Alastor anymore.
