Chapter 42
Back at Alastor’s company, as soon as Anastasia entered the company, she was stopped by the receptionist. “Sorry, Mrs. Lopez. Mr. Lopez said you are not allowed in.”
Standing still. Anastasia found herself having difficulty breathing.
She contemplated, “Has Alastor grown so distrustful of me? A divorce really shows one’s true character. Is Alastor planning to have a complete falling-out with me?”
“Mrs. Lopez.”
Seeing that Anastasia insisted on walking into the company, the receptionist called the security guard over nervously.
“Thave Alastor’s baby in my belly. If anything happens to the baby, you guys will bear responsibility for it.” Anastasia spoke in a deep voice. She knew the baby wouldn’t survive at all, but now she had to use it as leverage.
“Mrs. Lopez, please don’t make things difficult for us. The security guard was in a dilemma.
Anastasia ignored him, pushed him away, and went straight into the elevator.
She wanted to see what Alastor was trying to do.
“Alastor, she made a mistake first. Why do you have to leave a marriage with nothing?”
Anastasia pushed open the door of Alastor’s office and saw Felicia pounce on Alastor.
Alastor’s expression darkened. It was unclear if he was angry. However, it was obvious that the two were unscrupulous.
Anastasia took an ambiguous photo of them with her phone. She leaned against the door with a pale face. “You guys can’t wait another day?”
Anastasia’s voice was slightly hoarse, and she tried to make herself look less pathetic.
Felicia snorted and directly sat on Alastor’s lap, hugging him. “There’s no such thing as first come, first served in romance. Morcover, I’m actually the one who appeared first. When I got together with Alastor, we were still teenagers deeply in love. You are just a latecomer.”
Anastasia didn’t say anything, as she thought, “Does the romance in one’s youth really wield such profound influence?”
With Alastor’s personality, he wouldn’t have done this openly if he didn’t love Felicia deeply.
“Grandma called me and asked us to go home for dinner tonight.” Anastasia’s voice was calm as if she didn’t feel anything.
Alastor pushed Felicia away and replied in a deep voice, ‘Got it.”
Andrea was probably the only person Alastor truly cared about.
Since Christian and his lover moved to Huxville, Alastor grew up with his grandparents.
After Maverick died, Alastor only listened to his grandmother, and he didn’t have a close relationship with his mother.
“Do you want to bring Felicia with you?” Anastasia asked generously with a faint smile. However, her words were ironic.
She was suggesting to bring the mistress to see Andrea.
