Chapter 43

“Alastor, you are disgusting.” Anastasia said in a hoarse voice. She looked pathetic as if someone had slapped her in the face.

nastasia thought, “Felicia did this on purpose. I admit that Felicia won.”

“Anastasia!” Alastor wanted to grab Anastasia’s wrist, but Anastasia was already losing control of herself. She shook off his hand and stepped back quickly.

She smiled at Alastor, but her eyes were full of despair.

Things had already reached this point. No matter what she did, she would lose.

There was no chance of her winning-

“Alastor, the only reason you have left me with a shred of dignity is because you don’t want us to have a complete falling-out,” sneered Anastasia. She couldn’t talk about feelings anymore with Alastor, so she had no choice but to negotiate her terms with him.

“I never thought that one-day things would come to this point between us,” Anastasia continued, raising her hand to stop Alastor from getting closer.

There was a long silence between them. Anastasia’s head started buzzing violently.

She tried hard to control her emotions and make herself look less pathetic.

“Let’s get divorced” Anastasia said hoarsely, “Let’s do it exactly like you said. You leave the marriage with nothing, and we will get divorced.”

Alastor frowned and clenched his fingers as he frowned and replied, “All right.”

Anastasia smiled as she thought, “He is so eager to end our marriage.”

“When are you planning to get the divorce certificate?” asked Anastasia as she looked up at Alastor.

Her breathing was a little shaky as she said that.

“There is no hurry for that,” said Alastor as he gestured for Anastasia to get into the car first. “Let’s keep it a secret for now from Grandma. We also need to keep up our appearance in front of my company’s people and partners. I will leave the marriage without taking anything. I will give you whatever you want. After signing the divorce agreement, we will not make it public for now.”

“You’re disgusting,” said Anastasia before turning around and walking away.

“Anastasia!” Alastor called out as he caught up with her and grabbed her wrist. “You are a smart woman. It was only four years, so I don’t think you have that much of feelings for me. There is no need for you to behave like this.”

Personally, Alastor thought that the terms he offered were not something that anyone else would give her.
