Chapter 97
Anastasia curled up in bed and cried for a long time after hanging up the phone.
She was not sure what she was crying about..
Was it due to her miserable life, or was it due to the baby in her belly?
The art exhibition was about to be held soon. Yet, the invitations that she sent out seemed to have fallen on deaf ears.
In fact, Anastasia was ready for this art exhibition to have near to no visitors.
However, it did not matter.
It did not matter if everyone went to Felicia’s.
She just wanted to finish her last art exhibition and draw a perfect end to her life.
The only thing was that she did not know if Alastor would come to her art exhibition after using their child as a threat.
Anastasia had already told Alastor that this would be her last art exhibition. If he really would not come, she would then give up completely.
Her stomach hurt so much that she felt like a knife was stabbing her.
It was only after drinking the warm chowder which was prepared by Jason that Anastasia felt better…
Lying on her bed, Anastasia fell asleep in a daze yet again.
Anastasia did not know how long she had slept. However, it was already dark when she woke up! Yet, Jason was not back yet.
Anastasia sat up and glanced at her phone. Jason was not back, nor did he call her.
Anastasia suddenly felt nervous, and her heart was beating hard.
Picking up her phone, Anastasia called Jason.
She could not help but wonder if anything had happened.
“Was Alastor at home? Did he hit Jason? Did he not allow Jason to bring Snowball?” Anastasia thought anxiously.
The call went through, but no one answered it.
Anastasia was scared and panicked.
Meanwhile, at Lopez Group.
“Stop looking at the contract, Alastor. Can’t you accompany me?” Felicia asked in a cute tone.
She was nearly sticking herself onto him.
Alastor’s expression was dark. Furrowing his brows, he turned to Felicia. “Don’t cross the line.”
Felicia was frightened by Alastor’s aura and stood nervously. “What happened, Alastor?”
“You’re asking me this?” Alastor spat, looking at Felicia icily. “Shouldn’t I be the one asking you this question?”
Felicia was flustered. “I… I don’t know…”
“Do you know why I kept staring at the DNA paternity test today?” Alastor asked as he threw the documents on the table. His every move exuded a strong sense of anger.
Felicia’s heart skipped a beat. She looked at Alastor in panic and wanted to defend herself.
“I can give you whatever you want, Felicia. But you should know what you can ask for and what you should not, especially if it involves the children of the Lopez family. Understand?” Alastor warned.
He would not let her go
if she harmed the child.
