She clutched his clothes, pleading for forgiveness, panic rising in her chest as she feared Arthur might abandon her.

Sarah trembled in fear. “Arthur, I truly know I was wrong. I will not dare to do it again…” 

She sobbed, her voice cracking “If my sister were here, she would surely forgive me.”

Sarah shook her head. “No, they did not.” 

Arthur’s face grew colder, but his tone stayed calm. “It might be an allergic reaction. Rest well and call the doctor if need.” 

With that, he turned to leave. 

“Arthur.” 

Sarah glanced at him and weakly asked, “Are you still upset?” 

Arthur did not turn around, his tone distant. “The priority for you now is to rest and recover, so you can dance again.”

and stayed by Mabel’s side, hardly getting any sleep through the night. 

After everything that transpired tonight, her heart had grown colder and harder. Arthur’s defense of Sarah gave her no reason to hesitate with the divorce. 

She thought, “His refusal is likely because I suggested the divorce. As the CEO of the Harrison Group, a man at the height of wealth, it would hurt his pride. I will find a way to make him bring it up himself.”
