Chapter 159 Dad Didn’t Come Back All Night 

Charlotte stayed up all night, working on her laptop and even tweaking her perfume formula as dawn broke. 

Mabel woke up groggily and saw her on the sofa. In a soft voice, she asked, “Ms. Lottie, why are you up so early?” 

Charlotte looked up and smiled faintly. “Sweetheart, did you sleep well?” 

Mabel nodded. “Mm, I sleep well.” 

Then Mabel noticed the dark circles under Charlotte’s eyes. She quickly walked over to her. “Ms. Lottie, you did not sleep last. night, did you?” 

Charlotte rubbed her head gently. “I did sleep, just woke up a bit early.” 

Mabel frowned. “When my mom does not sleep all night, her eyes look like this. You did not sleep either.” 

Charlotte was surprised by Mabel’s words, saying, “I slept, just not enough. Now go wash up. What do you want for breakfast?” 

Mabel thought for a moment. “Can we have sandwiches?” 

“Of course.”

She thought, “He must be at the hospital comforting Sarah after last night. If he cares so much, why not just divorce me and marry her?” 

A flicker of irritation crossed in Charlotte’s bloodshot eyes. She tied an apron around her waist, pushed the thoughts aside, and began preparing breakfast. 

The chef walked over. “Mrs. Harrison, you do not seem well. Would you like me to make breakfast instead?” 

Charlotte shook her head. “No need, it is simple. I will finish up 

soon.” 

The chef hesitated but did not leave, standing by to see if he could help. 

After making the sandwiches, milk, and fried eggs, she set them on the table. Mabel and Julius had finished washing up and sat

After breakfast, Charlotte followed the car to kindergarten. She thought, “Arthur must have arranged everything yesterday. The teachers were so warm and immediately took Mabel’s hand, showering her with compliments.”

Mabel blinked her eyes and waved at Charlotte. “Ms. Lottie, goodbye.”

Charlotte smiled softly. 

After seeing Mabel and Julius enter the kindergarten, she went back to the car, massaging her temples in exhaustion.
