Cheers erupted all around them; the atmosphere was electric, and seeing the pair so intimate sent everyone into a frenzy. 

Charlotte cast a glance subconsciously. As she took in the scene, her brow lifted slightly, and a spark of interest lit up her face. She even joined in the cheers along with the others. 

But when she did, a hush fell over the crowd. Everyone was taken aback by her enthusiasm. 

Charlotte blinked in confusion. “Why did everyone stop? Keep going!” 

Barrett discreetly wiped the sweat from his brow, filled with admiration for Charlotte. 

As Arthur’s wife, she was actually encouraging him to feed another woman wine? 

Sarah was also surprised. She quickly glanced at Arthur, whose expression had noticeably darkened. Feeling anxious, she hurriedly said, “Arthur, we’re just playing a game. Let’s stick to the rules, okay?” 

Her voice was steady, and she believed that Arthur wouldn’t embarrass her in front of everyone. 

She leaned in closer, but in the next instant, Arthur pulled his hand back and set his wine glass down on the coffee table. In the 

suddenly silent room, the sound echoed sharply. 

Sarah panicked. “Arthur…” 

Ignoring her, Arthur abruptly stood up, grabbed Charlotte’s wrist, and strode out of the room. 

“Arthur!” Sarah shot up, intent on following him, but Barrett stopped her. “Sarah, can’t you see Arthur is angry? Just let him be. No need to rush.” 

Sarah bit her lip, seething with frustration. She turned to Barrett and demanded, “Since you asked me to come, why did you also call Charlotte?” 

Barrett waved his hands defensively. “I didn’t call you!” 

Her expression darkened even further. “Barrett, so you’re siding. with her now? Have you forgotten that Arthur and I almost got married?” 

Barrett rubbed his nose with a playful smirk. “Sarah, you said that was in the past. It’s all gone, isn’t it?” 

Fuming, Sarah stormed off in a huff. 

Barrett cleared his throat and surveyed the group. “Who told you to invite her?” 

One person replied, “Arthur was so drunk. We thought it best to get someone to take care of him. Doesn’t he have feelings for Ms. Miller?” 

Barrett walked over and playfully smacked the guy on the back 

of the head. “Who are you to meddle with Arthur’s affairs? Next time something like this happens, I won’t let it slide. Get lost!” 

The man left in frustration, never expecting that his good intentions would backfire. 

Barrett glanced around the room, his tone indifferent. “I brought you all here to have fun. Keep your noses out of matters that don’t concern you. If you upset Arthur, you’ll be in trouble.” 

“Yes,” everyone responded, eager to diffuse the tension. They quickly shifted to other games, and without Arthur around, the mood lightened considerably. 

“Let me go!” Charlotte exclaimed, wrenching her hand free from Arthur’s grip. Frowning, she looked at him warily. “What’s wrong with you?” 

The stairwell was dimly lit, and the lively club atmosphere felt worlds away. Arthur turned to face her, his eyes icy. 

“Charlotte, are you still pretending?” he scoffed.
