Mason didn’t say a word, his gaze drifting toward Arthur, who was talking with someone in the distance. Even while he was chatting, Arthur’s eyes would occasionally wander toward Charlotte. 

The distance made it hard for Mason to read the emotions behind Arthur’s gaze.

Charlotte nodded with a smile. “Go ahead.” 

As she watched him walk off, a warm smile lingered on her lips. Her mind kept replaying the moment when Julius had stepped in front of her, protecting her.

Charlotte nodded approvingly. “Nice, you’ve got that business hustle going.” 

Evie laughed and then asked, “What about you? What brings you here?” 

Charlotte let out a sigh, explaining the situation briefly. 

Evie raised an eyebrow, her voice dropping to a teasing tone. “Looks like the divorce is almost done, huh? But why’s his grandmother back now? Did she catch wind of something and

She couldn’t reveal Roxanne’s condition, not before it became public knowledge. 

Evie clicked her tongue, eyes wide. “Lottie, I don’t think this divorce is gonna be easy for you. Arthur knows how much you care about his grandmother, and you can bet he’ll use that against you.” 

But Charlotte’s expression remained resolute. “I’m getting that divorce, no matter what. We can keep it under wraps for now, but I’m not backing down.” 

Evie sighed and pulled out her phone, “You won’t believe this. Diana asked me to look into someone for you. Turns out, this person is your brother’s girlfriend!” 

She showed Charlotte the file on Joanna. 

Charlotte’s eyes widened in shock. “What?” 

Evie pointed to the screen. “Take a look. Joanna returned from overseas, joined the Hardwick Group, and became your brother’s secretary. Not long after, they started secretly dating.”
