“Grandma!” Arthur immediately heard the commotion on the other end and his face tensed. He quickly told the driver to turn back to Harrison Villa. 

“Don’t come back. Your grandma’s going to be furious when she sees you, and if she’s angry, I won’t be able to hold myself back from giving you a good smack,” a stern voice echoed through the phone, then the call was abruptly cut off. 

Arthur gripped the phone tightly, his frown deepening. 

“Mr. Harrison, where to next?” the driver asked. 

Arthur’s eyes turned cold. “To the hospital.” 

“Understood,” the driver replied.

Pete’s voice sounded serious. “I’ve been trying to reach Charlotte, but I can’t get through. Do you know where she is?” 

Evie snapped, “I can’t reach her either. That bastard Arthur, I don’t know what he’s done to Lottie, but I can’t even see her now. I thought maybe he’d changed, but nope, he’s still the same jerk. Lottie’s into him? She must be blind.” 

“Wait, so Arthur locked Charlotte up?” Pete’s voice turned colder. 

“Who else would it be?” Evie shot back. 

Pete said, “I’m heading to Lanceser now. Let’s meet up and figure out how to find Charlotte.”

Charlotte was escorted out of the club by bodyguards. Arthur had restricted her movements, and she was taken straight to Rose Villa. When she saw the familiar villa courtyard, her face remained completely expressionless. 

The butler and servants greeted her. “Mrs. Harrison.” But seeing her face, no one dared to say much. 

Charlotte tried to leave, but the bodyguards, like two immovable walls, blocked her way. “Mrs. Harrison, please don’t make things harder for us. This is Mr. Harrison’s order.” 

Charlotte laughed bitterly and thought, “What is this? Is he trying to control me? He has no right to do that.”
