She heard the sound of a heavy iron gate opening. Immediately, she was shoved inside. 

A loud crash echoed behind her as the iron gate slammed shut. 

“Who are you? What do you want with me?” 

Charlotte stood frozen in place, too scared to move. Her voice sounded muffled as if she were in an enclosed space. 

As soon as the thought popped up, all the hairs on her body prickled with fear. 

Panicked, she turned around and stumbled back toward where she had entered. She tried to use her shoulder to push against the door but only met a cold, rigid piece of metal with sharp edges.
