With gentle concern in his eyes, he wiped her tears away with a tissue. “He’s trying to drive a wedge between us siblings. Don’t let him mislead you, Lottie. No matter what sweet talk he uses now, he still neglected and hurt you for five years.”

Charlotte nodded, her voice muffled. 

A worried look crossed Sebastian’s face. “But Joanna is just an ordinary person. She won’t be able to handle it if Arthur goes after her.” 

Charlotte shook her head. “That won’t happen. She’s Sarah’s cousin, and we suspect Sarah was the one who drugged Arthur five years ago. We just haven’t found the key witness yet.” 

“What’s the plan once you find this witness?” Sebastian asked.
