A heavy, oppressive atmosphere filled the room. 

Everyone present wore grave expressions. 

James wanted to say more, but Sebastian walked over and grabbed his arm. “Dad, let’s get Mom to the hospital first.” 

He was warning James to stop talking! 

Any more words would only anger Arthur! 

James had let his emotions get the better for a moment, but Sebastian’s touch brought him back to his senses. “Call an ambulance!” he ordered grimly. 

Most guests downstairs had already left, with only a few lingering to watch the drama unfold.

Sebastian called the ambulance and went downstairs to send the 

remaining guests away. 

The banquet hall suddenly felt empty. 

The ambulance arrived quickly, taking the fallen waiter first, followed by Camille, who couldn’t get up. 

Charlotte helped Ava into a chair, then turned to face Sarah, still held down by Jacob.

Sarah’s entire body ached, and her face was swollen like a balloon. At this point, she seemed to have nothing left to lose. “I want that old hag to die!” she screamed. 

She glared at Charlotte with venom in her eyes. “You’d be heartbroken if that old woman died, wouldn’t you? Arthur might protect you, but I’ll do everything possible to make your life hell!” 

She laughed hysterically like a madwoman, but her laughter soon turned to tears. 

She sobbed, “I don’t want to marry this monster! I just fell in love with someone! I just wanted him to love me back! What’s wrong with that? What gives you the right to treat me this way? I won’t accept this. I refuse to give up. Of course, I’m going to fight back!” 

Jacob looked at her with disgust and let go of her, knowing she couldn’t escape anyway. 

Charlotte also released her grip, watching Sarah collapse on the ground like a rag doll. “You can’t escape,” she said coldly. “You’ll be his wife and live in hell for the rest of your life.”
