Sarah blinked. “I heard Gideon returned, so I came to see him. I didn’t expect something like this to happen. Arthur, are you mad at me?” 

Arthur’s expression remained cold. “No. Your leg still needs time to heal. Try not to move too much.” 

“Okay, I understand.” 

Sarah nodded, but inside, she was filled with anxiety, uncertain of what was going through his mind. 

After the examination, she was relieved to find that her calf was fine. After all, if something had been wrong, it would have been the end for her! 

Arthur escorted her back to her ward, and as the nurse came in to change her bandages, Arthur gave a strict order. “Tell her not to move too much. If she goes anywhere, I want to be notified.” 

“Yes, Mr. Harrison.” 

The nurse, aware of his status, responded respectfully. 

Sarah’s breath caught. She realized he was keeping an eye on 

me! 

She thought, “Did he suspect I’ve done that on purpose?” 

Sarah was frantic, though she couldn’t let it show. If she did, it

She asked herself, “Isn’t he supposed to dislike Charlotte?” 

Before returning to the country, she’d had someone investigate their marriage. 

She’d been told that Charlotte was very proactive and deeply in love with Arthur, yet Arthur remained cold toward her. Even at events requiring their attendance as a couple, he only put on a show for appearances. 

She also learned that Julius didn’t like Charlotte as a mother. 

Besides, on the day she returned to the country for her performance, Charlotte had a car accident, but neither Arthur nor Julius went to check on Charlotte. They went to watch her performance instead! 

Sarah had thought that, in their eyes, she was the most important one! 

But now, something seemed to have shifted. 

She hated this change. She felt she had to force them to divorce quickly! 

If Arthur wouldn’t agree, she’d have to involve the Harrison family.

Jayce’s voice was cold and dry. “Meet me tonight at the Night. 

Club.” 

Charlotte raised an eyebrow. “What’s this about?” 

Jayce replied, “You’ll find out when you get here.” 

With that, he hung up abruptly.
