Chapter 62 Jayce Is a Good Guy 

Charlotte returned to the car, put on her mask, and took at voice–altering pill before heading back inside. 

The golden butterfly mask gleamed under the lights, her eyes sparkling with a hidden smile, and when she spoke again, her voice had changed. “Thank you so much, Mr. Caldwell.”

Jayce glanced at her, seemingly surprised by the change in her 

voice. 

However, he didn’t think it was a big deal. 

He turned and walked inside, with Delia following him closely and Charlotte trailing behind. 

She had prepared the perfume in her pocket. She felt the client Jayce was bringing her to meet must be someone of high status, and she needed to approach this negotiation carefully. 

As they entered the elevator, her phone buzzed. It was a message from Evie. 

Evie: [What bad luck. I just saw Arthur.] 

Evie: [I don’t like him, but he spent a lot of money. He’s a customer, so I can’t go against him.] 

Evie: [Sweetheart, you said you were coming, right? Stay away from the VIP 888 room. That guy is in there.”

Evie had clearly put a lot of thought into designing this floor. After all, it was for the influential, powerful elite of Lanceser. It had to strike the perfect balance between luxury and subtlety, making people feel both opulent and at ease. 

When Jayce stopped in front of room 888, Charlotte was stunned. The great environment suddenly became less attractive 

to her. 

Her eyes flashed with surprise.

Could the important client Jayce wanted me to meet be Arthur?” 

Before she could process her thoughts, Jayce pushed open the door to the VIP room. Inside, seven or eight people were gathered around a table playing cards. 

Arthur sat at the center, elbows resting casually on his knees. His long, elegant fingers idly shuffled the cards, tossing them out with a languid, careless motion. 

He wore a black shirt and trousers that fit his strong, tall frame. The overhead lights illuminated his features, emphasizing the depth of his mysterious eyes. A hint of amusement flickered
