Chapter 22: Shocked

Jasmine's POV

I didn't tell Diego what happened yesterday. Stacy wants to cancel the contract and find another new wedding planner.

I place the food on the table and remove my apron.

“ Time to eat!” I shouted. David and Diego were playing in the living room. I cooked for our lunch, but I still did not want David to go outside.

“ We're coming.” Diego carried my son and ran towards the kitchen. He was laughing and raising his hand like Superman.

“ Okay enough with the game now.” I place a glass of water In Front of them.

“ I thought you had a meeting today?” Diego said while eating. My forehead was knotted because of what he said.

“ Actually-” I sigh before I continue. And wiped David's mouth.

“ Jaz, I'm not going to force you, okay? But if you don't want to do it, then I guess I will. Mrs. White emailed earlier that you'll have a meeting with her later,” he said. What? I thought she cancelled it. Does that mean that she still wants me to be their wedding planner?

Is she planning something?

“ No, I mean she didn't email me and I have no idea that I have a meeting today” I reasoned. He just nodded and told me the time and place.

I hurriedly eat my lunch and take a shower because I have no time. I just wore a black dress and said goodbye to both of them.

I drove through the place until I arrived. Though I'm not familiar with this house I still click the doorbell. It seemed that no one was there. Is she trying to sabotage me?

I turned around when I couldn't wait anymore. But then the door opened. And when I turned around to look at her my expression changed.

“ You're late,” his voice was serious. I looked at him, and deep inside I wanted to slap him as hard as I could. He was acting like he had done nothing in the past.

I smiled sweetly before answering him.

“ Sorry, Mr. White. I wasn't informed earlier about the meeting, “ I formally said. He looked at me, but I raised my eyebrows, asking if he would let me in or not.

He opened the door and I entered, I even looked at him when I heard him lock the door. I sigh and look around but no one is around except him.

“ Where is Mrs. White?” I sat while placing the papers on the table.

“ She had an important meeting; we're not yet married; she's still a Forster” ” he casually said and sat without breaking his stares on me. I rolled my eyes.

“ I'm sorry Mr. White, but I can't continue this meeting without her. “ I firmly said. I stood up and grabbed the papers.

“ Don't you think that I also have the right to know about the wedding?” He said and leaned his back on the seat.
