Chapter 23: Chance?

Jasmine's POV

After that meeting, Diego kept on asking me how it is. I didn't tell him that I met Travis.

“ I think she agreed about the wedding gowns I showed her. Maybe she'll schedule another meeting,” I said, and he nodded.

I went back to my laptop while he was cooking. I wasn't sure if Stacy really knew about that meeting, but since Diego told me that she was the one who emailed him, I didn't have to think much about it.

He went to the living room to check for David while I received a call coming from Via.

“ Ma'am, Mr. Adam is asking about you. I told him that you went for a business meeting out of town, but he kept on calling,” She said, and I know that Mr Adam will bother him.

“ Don't entertain him. What is his problem?! That Man is getting on my nerves!” I rolled my eyes, and I could see Via’s expression wince.

“ Maam-” she didn't continue talking when someone grabbed the phone in her hand.

It was Mr. Adam.

“ Sir-” he cut me off. And he looked mad.

“ I heard what you said!” He shouted while his face was too close to the camera. I can even see from here that he's sweating.

“ Mr. Adam,” Via tried to get the phone from Mr. Adam but he didn't let her and kept on saying nonsense words. And he is now angry.

“ You don't have the right to talk to her like that! This is my first and last warning. If you ever dare to talk to her I will not hesitate to kill you!” Diego firmly said. He suddenly appeared and was angry when he heard Mr. Adam talking dirty.

I saw Mr. Adam's expression and he was scared. He ended the call and I turned to look at Diego.

“ You don't have to deal with him. “ I told him but he just looked at me seriously.

“ I can't bear that man's words towards you. Just tell Via to never let him enter the company. “ He sounds irritated because of him.

“ I will; let's eat. Stop frowning, it doesn't suit you” I laughed when he just rolled his eyes.

“ Stop laughing, if I saw that man, he would be a dead meat” he said and walked away to get David in the living room.

I just shook my head. Diego is one of the reasons why some guys are scared of getting near to me. Only those brave ones but they can't take too long because of Diego.

“ Mommy, Daddy, Uncle, did you say you were talking earlier to a monkey?” I bit my lower lips to stop myself from laughing.

“ He also said that he had big eyes and ugly teeth.” I looked at Diego but he just looked away.

“ Calling someone that name is bad, okay? It was just one of my clients. Diego is just joking with you.” I touch his head and kiss him on his chicks.

“ You're always kissing me on my chicks, and you always forget to do the same to Daddy Diego,” he said, and I saw Diego smirk.
