Chapter 61: You Haven't Changed

Jasmine's POV

“ Maam, where should I put this?” Rhian asked me. I looked at her while she was holding the vase.

“ Over there, “ I pointed at the side of the stage. We're almost done. I sigh while looking at the whole area. It's actually good.

Then I felt someone touching my hair. When I turned around, I saw Travis.

“I'm sorry. I just removed something from your hair,” he said and smiled at me.

“ You should stop getting closer to me because when Stacy sees you being with me I'm sure she'll get furious” I said and turned around to watch the whole image of this site.

“ Could you please stop bringing her here? “ He said that it made my forehead knotted.

What did he mean? This is what I really hated about him. He acts like he's single when, in fact, he's already engaged.

Maybe that's what he did to Stacy before, and that's why she has no idea that Travis is already married.

I just hate the way he's acting like this. I started walking, and he kept following me. I turned around and was about to curse him when I didn't realize that I had tripped into something. I closed my eyes and waited for me to fall to the ground, but I felt someone hold me on my waist.

When I opened my eyes, I saw Travis looking at me.

Why does this always happen to me?

“ Be careful, “ he said while we were still in that position. Our faces are too close to each other, and I can even feel our noses touching.

I hurriedly fixed myself and looked at him. He smirked. I didn't know what was going on inside his mind. But one thing is for sure: what the heck is wrong with him?

“ That's because someone kept on following me! “ I said irritatedly. He's saying that I'm being careless where, in fact, he's the reason why I tripped off.

“ I just want to tell you that I bought snacks, and you can call your staff to have some,” he said, which made me look at him. This was the first time that he had done that.

“What?” He acted like everything was normal. What is wrong with him?

I ignored him and called everyone to rest in the meantime, telling them Travis had bought them snacks.

I also went to eat with them because I was hungry. While eating, he stood beside me and ate, too. Someone is confused because this is the first time he has done that without anyone calling him to join. Maybe it's because he's the one who brought everything in here.

While we were eating, everyone was talking to each other, and I didn't make a sound and just listened to them.

“ How is it?" he asked near my ears, which made me cough because of shock.

We are not that close, and I don't want to be closer to him. It would only make things worse.

“ I just want to talk to you in a normal way.” He said while looking at me.

Normal way?! What did he mean? After what he did to me, he's expecting that I could talk to him like before?! I'm not dumb!

“You know what? You really haven't changed, Travis. You're still the Travis before. You already had a fiance, and you still want to talk to me, knowing that Stacy would get jealous when he saw both of us? I don't want to cause any trouble for either of you. “ I said and stood up, not waiting for him to talk.

“Wait. It's not like that. I just wanted us to be okay,” he said and held my hand. I looked at it.

“ After what you did to me. Do you think we could still be together like what we used to be before? Tell me. If I hurt you and have you in so much pain, could you still choose to catch things up with me so we could be okay?” I asked him, and that made him silent. He didn't even know how to answer those questions.

It's been years since I've wanted to ask him so many questions. But here I am asking a simple question that he couldn't even answer.

“ Jaz, look I know I hurt you” he said which made me laugh.

“ You knew that you hurt me? I thought you didn't care if I was hurt or not!” I sarcastically said and grabbed my hand back from him.

He knew and he didn't even dare to explain to me why? Did he get tired of me? Or does he just want someone new? I don't know! I have so many questions in my mind that I couldn't tell!

“ I'm sorry for everything. I regret everything I did!”
