Chapter 60: Best Life

Jasmine's POV

After that night, I realized that Maybe I should forget about the past. But every time I tried how many times, I couldn't. I can't forget how he treated me before.

I can't think of a way to forget those days. It's just that he hurt me too much. And that's what makes me can't forgive him.

It's just that all of that pain already created hatred in me. Until now, every time I see them, I always feel mad even though they are doing nothing.

“ I actually don't have any idea about this one,” Rhian said while Jacob stood at his back.

“ Why don't you adjust this one there? And add a brighter colour” he tried to move the mouse off the laptop, and he liked cornering her on his arm.

I saw how Rhian reddened because of how close they were.

“ I see,” he said and smiled. On the other hand, I saw Erica and Kurt laughing together, and I think they are already in a relationship.

“ Thank you,” She thanked Kurt when he gave her flowers. He never failed to do it every day.

“Your smile is the reason why I’m always eager to come to work,” he said, which made me chuckle.

When my gaze went the other way, I saw Ryan watching the four of them.

“ Damn, I wasn't informed that everyone should have their own partners while working,” he said and rested his back on the chair.

I laughed because of his reaction.

I just got back to doing my work. I sigh and look at my phone. I didn't realize that I was already smiling after all the things that I had faced these past few days.

David is the reason why I kept fighting every day, even in my darkest moments.

I always think about him, about his future. I don't want him to experience those things that I did. I don't want to see him as a low life, as others saw me before.

I will do everything to ensure that he has the best life possible now and in the future.

There's one thing I couldn't give him, and that is to meet his real father. I know I deprived him of his right to meet Travis, but I'm scared that what if he finds out about David? What if he gets my son to me, and worst, he will not treat David as his own son? I'm scared. But I'm also scared that one day, he will hate me for not letting him meet his own father.

I loved my son more than anything in this world. I love him, but I'm scared that Travis might not accept him. I'm scared that he might get hurt.

I sigh and close my phone. I just want to make sure that everything will be okay with him.

“ Are you okay, Ma'am?” I didn't realize that Rhian was already in front of me, holding files in her hand.

I wiped my tears and smiled at her.
