Chapter 81: Talk Without Fighting
Jasmine's POV
After I took a shower, I chose the red dress that I bought abroad. It’s really pretty, though it's above the knee, and I really like it. I also wear red heels.
It's already eight in the evening. I looked at my son, who was already asleep. I also let Cherry sleep in our room since I'm attending a party.
It took me thirty minutes to arrive at the reception, and there were a lot of people now. I entered the venue. Bianca and Clarkson saw me. I approached them with a braided smile.
“ Wow, you look gorgeous, “ Binaca said, which made me chuckle. She's gorgeous, too.
“ Thank you. You look gorgeous as always, and congratulations to the both of you,” I told them. We just had a little chat since they also need to entertain their other guests for tonight.
I am walking when I bump into someone.
“ I'm sorry I didn't see you.” I apologized while wiping his seat without looking at him.
I poured a glass of wine on his suit.
“ It's okay.” When I heard his familiar voice, I looked at him, and I was right—it was Travis. I ruined his suit tonight. And I don't feel bad about it. A sly smirk secretly formed on my lips.
“I didn't see you. Don't worry; I'll just buy you another suit tomorrow,” I said in a calm voice. I didn't want to argue with him right now.
“ No, there's no need. It's really okay,” he said while wiping his suit.
“Alright. “ I just smiled a bit, which stunned him. It was like it was his first time seeing me smile at him.
“ Shall we have some drinks?” He asked me and offered me another glass of drink.
I was hesitant to accept it because I was still mad at him for what he did the other day, but I just found myself accepting the wine he offered me.
I sat in the chair, and after I drank it, I placed the glass on the table and grabbed another one.
“ Easy, you're still going to drive later,” he said, but I didn't listen. He sat on the other seat, and I knew he was looking at me.
“ I'm surprised you are not mad at me right now,” he said, even while I glared at him. Does he want me to get mad at him?
