Chapter 95: Unconscious

Jasmine's POV

I don't know why Paul said that. Before we separated, he even told me that it was okay to give it another try rather than regret it in the future.

There's no other chance, and even right now, I'm already regretting meeting him. All he caused me was trouble.

“ Are you alright, ma'am? You're so pale,” Rhian asked me while we were busy designing the entrance of the venue. I nodded at her and smiled.

“ I am, I just didn't have a good rest last night.” What I said is true. After I got home, my son was already sleeping. While I was looking at him, I couldn't stop but to cry silently. I became stupid again. But I won't tolerate that kind of attitude from him.

“ I thought you went home early yesterday, ma'am?” she asked me again as if she were conducting an interview.

“ Let's just focus on working, Rhian. I'm not really in a good mood right now,” I politely told her.

We started working until she excused herself because she forgot something. While I was working alone, his presence made me stop.

What does he want again? If he's here to tease me and tell me u believable words again he must stop or else I will lose control of myself.

“ You look pale," he said, but I didn't mind. Why does he care if I look pale? It has nothing to do with him. I didn't talk to him and acted like he was not around.

“ Are you not feeling well?” he asked again, and he was about to get closer to me when I distanced myself without saying any words.

“ Hey, are you mad? I just want to check on you” he kept on trying to disturb me, but I didn't give a shit. He can still manage to talk to me after what happened last night. Or maybe that was really his plan to see if I'm still into him. And maybe when I didn't notice that I kissed him back, maybe he thought that I still had feelings for him. That's why he doesn't want to stop from disturbing me.

I held my head when I felt a little bit dizzy. Damn it. I really didn't get enough sleep last night. The other night I was busy doing paperwork to our business abroad.

“ Jasmine,” I heard him call me, but my sight was getting blurry. I don't know if I could still fix the flower design because I was starting to lose my sight.

“Jasmine”, for the second time, I heard him say. He wanted to hold me, but I firmly disagreed.

“ Paul is really trying me. Both of you were just engaged. You haven't married him, and even if you do, I will still get you from him,” he said again. I felt someone drop on my hand. It was a liquid. Then I heard that he was sobbing.

“ I love you. I know you're angry with me. I know how much you hated me. But here I am doing everything just to make you give me a chance to show how much I love you and how much I want you back.” He didn't stop talking.

I'm really forcing myself to open my eyes until I slowly see the room where I am right now.

“ I love you. I will always do. I will never forget you, Jas. You are the only woman in my life, and that won't ever change. “Those are the last words he said. I saw him move, and I pretended to fall asleep. The next thing he did was he kissed my forehead before I could see his footsteps walking out of the room.

When I was sure he was gone, I opened my eyes. Warm tears fell from my eyes.

I’m sorry, Travis, but I can't. I can't give you a chance and take a risk. What I had experienced was enough.

Maybe it would have been better if we had not seen each other again after this project.
