Two weeks after the incident, Alisha took a taxi to school for the first time in weeks because Kelvin travelled out the country a day before for an important meeting that he had to attend, Mindy was down with the flu and Shane had volunteered to stay with her.

Alisha got down from the taxi and headed straight to her class. Every steps she took reminded her of Kelvin and what type of a boyfriend he was to her. In short, she realized that Kelvin, Mindy and Shane had became a part of her that she couldn't do without.

The moment the school was over, she dug her hand into her jeans pocket and brought out her phone. She clicked on WhatsApp, clicked on Kelvin's number which she had stored as 'Pringles' and texted. "Hey babe. You're awake? How was the meeting?"

When there came no reply, she texted. "Just checking up on you. Call me as soon as possible. Love ya." she went out of WhatsApp and as she tried to put her phone back inside her back pocket, she ran into someone and dropped her phone in shock.

"Ouch!" she cried out.

"I'm sorry." a very familiar voice said and bent down to pick her phone for her.

Alisha looked at the back of the person's head and looked away instantly. It was Zhang.

Zhang rose up and handed her her phone as he said. "Here is your phone."

Alisha took her phone from his hand, looked at him under her eyelashes and for some unknown reasons, she felt sorry for him.

Zhang was putting on a white t-shirt and a skinny jeans trouser. His hair was packed into a messy bun and his face looked too pale. There was no chains on him and neither was his stud in his ear.

This was not the Zhang that she knew and even though Zhang had broken her heart and rejected her, she couldn't denied the fact that she had once loved him, that she had once cared for him and still care for him. That he had once been her everything.

"Zhang." she called softly "Why are you like this? What happened to you?"

Zhang looked into her eyes sadly and gave her a weak smile "I'm really surprised that you notice me today."

Since when have you been like this? Alisha thought in her mind. Have I been too carried away with my beautiful love life that I wasn't even aware of what was happening around me?

"Is there anything that I can do to help you?" She asked

Zhang shrugged. "I don't know but I'll like you to give me your number."

"I'm sorry but I can't give you my number."

"As a friend."

"I still can't." Alisha insisted.

"Okay." Zhang gave up and came up with another idea. "What if we meet up?"

"Zhang, I can't go out with you. I have a boyfriend."

"I know but what about if it's at your house? Can I come over to your house later in the evening?"

Alisha thought about it for some seconds and later gave in.

Alisha placed two chairs in between a table in front of their house, sat on one and watched as Zhang sat on the other.

"You look beautiful." Zhang commented the moment he sat down.

"Thank you."

"The last time that I was here was weeks ago." he said as he looked around the house.

"And whose fault is that?" Alisha asked.

"I know it's my fault." Zhang said and shrugged. "and I'm still regretting it."

Since Alisha had no idea what to say to that, she tried to change the subject.

"Why are you like this? She asked and gestured at his dressing. "You aren't acting like the Zhang that I know."

"I realized how important you're to me too late. If I had known back then, I would have held you dear."

"Let's talk about something else, Zhang."

"Do you really want to know why I'm like this?" He asked.

"Of course." Alisha replied.

"Then, you're the reason why I'm like this." Zhang said and Alisha's swallowed her saliva because of what she saw.
