"So, you designed all these cars?" I asked as Xavien cleaned the office.

He nodded, "Yeah, I have been doing this since I was sixteen. My dad always supported it."

"Where is your dad?"

I noticed his stiffen at the question, his movements freezing. "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked," I said softly.

He remained silent as he went back to cleaning. I frowned at him, calling myself an idiot for asking it so bluntly. I released a breath before getting up, knowing I wasn't exactly wanted.

"Where are you going? Melody isn't back yet."

I turned to face him, "I thought-

"No, sorry, I was just thinking. Did Gabriel go silent whenever he didn't want you near him or something?"

"Yeah," I whispered.

He frowned, "Well, darling, I'm not Gabriel. If I go silent after a question, just slap me."

I smirked, "Will do."

He chuckled before focusing on his work again, leaving an awkward silence behind.

"So, how long does it usually take Melody to grab food?" I asked.

He shrugged, "Usually only fifteen minutes."

"It has been thirty."

I frowned, "Oh, I'm sorry."

He shrugged before standing up, he then flashed me a small smile. "No need to be sorry, those girls are in the past. Way in the past. What about you?"

I shrugged, "I never really dated. Only had one boyfriend...that was Gabriel."

"Oh...do you still have feeling for him?"

"I don't think so...after how he treated me, I think it ruined any flake of love in me."

He nodded, "But what if he apologizes and makes up for it?"

"Well, I highly doubt that will happen. He hates me for leaving him without an explanation on why I cheated. So, chances of that happening, are zero." (A/N: do I use are or is? I need to take a writing class again...I haven't gone over this stuff since 4th grade.
