Melody knew that he would never forget about cheryl, of all people. He had once believed that Cheryl was his salvation. 

Itis serious tone caused a briet wave of bitterness to wash over her. 

But the feeling passed quickly. 

After all, Melody had loved Cheryl too, maybe even more than Jeremy did–all because Cheryl had once been the woman who reached out to her with a smile. 

Melody could be jealous of anyone in the world except Cheryl. So, even if everything that had happened back then had been her doing, she would never tell Jeremy. 

She hesitated before asking, “Are we going together tomorrow, or… 

Cheryl’s grave was in the suburbs, which was an hour’s drive away. 

Before Jeremy could answer, Krystal walked out. 

She looked at Jeremy. “The records for Bled 18 just arrived. Are you coming 

to take a look?” 

Then, she glanced at Melody. “Do you need something?” 

Jeremy tumed and walked back into the attice. “Bring me the records.” He didn’t even acknowledge that Melody was still waiting for his answer. 

Two hours passed, and Melody waited outside the entire time. 

Finally, when Jeremy and Krystal came out, she quickly stood up. 

Jeremy blanidy looked at her. “Why are you still here? 

Melody froze. “I just wanted to ask about tomorrow 

” 

Without waiting for her to finish, Jeremy snapped the tile in his hands shut and coldly said, “Do you not know how to find the way on your own?” 

The records of the patient fenen Bed 18 had been a complete mess, Jeremy and Krystal had spent ages going through them and still hadn’t sorted everything out. 

Naturally, he wasn’t in the best mood. 

Melody was stunned as Jeremy turned and walked back into the office, shutting the door behind him. 

Krystal then flatly said, “I used to think that hearing ability and intelligence weren’t related, but you’re making me reconsider.”

Upon heating the mockery in Krystal’s voice, Melody turned to look at her. 

She could tell that Krystal didn’t like it, but she looked too much like Cheryl–so much so that sometimes, even Melody found herself in a daze. 

The next day, Melody went to Cheryl’s gravesite alone. 

The woman in the photo had a bright and radiant smile, exactly like the person she remembered. 

Jeremy arrived befoer het. He was wearing a black shirt instead of a white one, which added to the solemness 

Laura whispered to Krystal, “Go say something to Cheryl. You two were really close when you were little 

Krystal placed some flowers in front of the tombstone and looked at the young woman in the photo who bore such a resemblance to herself. She lowered her rym and muumurd, “Chery!” 

Lawra stood behind her, wiping her tears. Her twin daughters had beenby her side for far too short a time 

Melody felt heavy–hearted as well. She stepped forward and softly placed the flowers she had brought. It was a bouquet of cherry blossoms–Chent’s tavorite 

Unfortunately, this season only had the last of the late–blooming ones. 

It was because she had gone to buy the cherry blossoms that she arrived late. 

On the anniversary of Cheryl’s passing, no one could bring themselves to lift their spirits. 

When they got home, they were surprised to find Owen and Ophelia at the Wardoll residence 

The Chesson family was different from the Wardoll family. While the Wardolf family focused on business, mainly in the hotel industry and other enterprises, the Cisson family had a more diversified presence, Owen was even the president of the jembina Business Association.
