Chapter 150
“You’re currently with Kenan, aren’t you?”
“Get over here in the next 30 minutes! Or I’m killing Nicola tonight!” Zayn threatened.
Willow’s eye twitched as she read Zayn’s most recent message. She thought that he was cruel, but what other choice did she have? He had always been able to strike where it hurt the most.
Nicola was the one person that Willow cared for the most. If Willow died, she wondered how much pain Nicola would be in.
Aaron didn’t go through the surgery, so Willow still had around a million dollars. She would leave the money to Nicola. And even when Willow’s body would be donated, Nicola would be the beneficiary of the resulting compensation. Still, Willow knew that Nicola would have a hard time even with all the money Willow would be leaving her.
After changing into a thicker jacket, Willow grabbed her bag and left her apartment.
The cold wind ruffled Willow’s hair into a mess. As she walked, she felt like she was turning into a popsicle.
Matthew had hurt her quite badly earlier today. Her back and legs had large wounds, and her hand still bled. Even through her gloves, Willow could still clearly sense the blood seeping from where her thumb used to be.
Fortunately, her gloves were black. No one would be able to notice the blood staining it, so they wouldn’t be startled.
Willow took a taxi to the supermarket near Lakecoast Villa. She then went inside and bought Zayn’s requested items.
Back when they were younger and more reckless, Willow and Nicola had wondered about the difference between being alive and being dead.
But now, Willow finally understood the greatest difference between life and death–being alive meant pain, while being dead meant being freed from that pain.
