Willow was startled by this, and she reflexively took a step back. She looked up, only for her to meet Zayn’s stormy gaze.

She thought Zayn was odd. Willow had already delivered the requested goods as promised, and she hadn’t done anything else. She had no idea why he would be so furious.

However, Willow wasn’t dumb. She soon figured out that his sour mood was probably because she had gotten in the way of his and Skyler’s night–time activities.

She couldn’t help the bitterness that washed over her, but she also didn’t want to start an argument. So, Willow made the first move, humbling herself and apologizing, “My apologies, Mr. Carter. I seem to have arrived at a most inopportune time. I’m sorry for bothering you and Skyler. I’ve brought the requested items.

“Enjoy your time together. I shall now take my leave.”

After shoving the bag into Zayn’s hands, Willow turned and swiftly made her way over to the stairs.

In truth, making this delivery had made Willow reach her limit. She was already in so much pain on the way to the Bordello apartment, she could barely stand. All that walking earlier made Willow feel like her body was tearing itself apart. She only managed to stay upright by supporting her weight against the wall.

Willow had just taken a few steps when her body exploded in pain. It was then that she realized that Zayn had grabbed her and flung her to the ground in his room.

“Heading back?” Zayn’s smile was icy. “In a hurry to go back and  Kenan? You’re such a whore, Willow!”

Willow wanted to get up, but she was in so much pain. She didn’t have the strength to move. And when she fell, she could feel her back bleed even more, making her jacket stick to her back. Everything hurt so much.

“My relationship with Mr. Dawson is less sordid than you think it is, Mr. Carter. I really am not feeling well, yet I’ve brought over the things that you requested. Skyler is waiting for you. Please, stop hassling me!” she said tiredly.

Willow thought that Zayn would drop the matter, considering how cordial she was. And besides, Skyler was still waiting for him.

Willow thought Zayn was being difficult, but she still didn’t want to argue with him. Instead, she replied, “You and Skyler are a match made in heaven. It only makes sense for you to date her. Can I go back now?

Willow turned around, hoping that Skyler would say something and call Zayn back. However, she looked up at the bed, only to realize that it was empty. Skyler was not inside the room.
