Willow had courage, but Tan’s words still scared her. 

She was touched by lan’s trust in her, but being pursued by someone like him was truly terrifying. She didn’t want to become the enemy of countless women. Besides, she had no intention of starting a new relationship. 

“Mr. Nightingale, we are not suitable for each other,” Willow said. She despised leading people on when she couldn’t give them a definite outcome. She preferred to cut things off quickly and without hassle when things weren’t working out. 

“Mr. Nightingale, to be honest, I have no plans to start dating again. Right now, I only want to focus on my work and give Aaron a better life.” 

The last blind date had happened because Moses had been too persistent. She didn’t want to burden anyone else with her current state. 

“Willow, Aaron needs a father,” tan said, staring intently at Willow. His eyes seemed so profound, almost capable of drawing in one’s soul. 

He continued, “And I am the best choice. Willow, 1 lmow we haven’t known each other for long. You may not accept meso soon, but I am willing to give you time.” 

Willow lowered her gaze and took a sip of water. She admitted lam was right. Aaron did need a father, and even if she were gone, tan would protect Aaron well. She could then leave without worry. 

But she couldn’t be so selfish. 

“Mr. Nightingale, thank you for your love. But we are not compatible.” 

Fortunately, the piping–hot dishes soon arrived, providing a perfect distraction from the conversation. 

Willow enthusiastically served an a spoonful of stew. “Mr. Nightingale, you must try this! The seafood stew here is delicious! It’s spicy and flavorful, leaving you wanting more! The memory of being forced to swallow live fish by Skyler was too horrifying. Willow didn’t dare eat fish, but the aroma of this seafood stew still made her mouth water. Every time she had seafood stew, she looked forward to drinking the broth 

The broth at this restaurant was particularly delicious, and she could drink a whole pot! 

While she used to crave spicy food, her now delicate stomach couldn’t handle it anymore 

So, she could only savor the aroma and swallow hard. 

Willow’s rejection was within fan’s expectations, so he wasn’t very disappointed. Seeing her adorable manner of salvating over the stew, he couldn’t help but laugh. “Do you want to try some?” As he spoke, Ian had already picked out a piece of fish for Willow, thoughtfully removing the bones. 

Noticing she didn’t seem to want to eat it, he couldn’t help but ask, “Why aren’t you eating? Can’t bear to eat it yet?* 

“No, I dare not eat spicy food,” Willow said. She swallowed and picked a plece of stir–fried lettuce, it helped distract her and rase her craving.
