“Even if that bastard has been kidnapped,” Zayn’s voice was icy and merciless, “it’s none of my concern! With that, he hung up the phone.

None of his concern… Willow stared numbly at the dark screen before her. Her body trembled, and her legs suddenly went weak. Even though she gripped the hospital bed, she couldn’t stand.

Her vision blurred from the tears welling up in her eyes. Willow’s mind grew hazy and confused. In her daze, she thought she heard a voice tenderly whispering in her ear..

It said, “Willow, you and our child are the loves of my life. I will devote my life to loving you both.”

Willow knew that if this broken body of hers faltered, it might never rise again. So even if it meant using all her strength, she would force herself to stand tall.

A relentless agony swept through her. The pain, it seemed, penetrated every inch. Summoning all her strength, she felt as if she were walking on thorns. Each step pierced her flesh like a hail of knives and arrows.

She tried calling Zayn again, but he refused to pick up. Gazing blankly out at the bustling traffic, she decided she had to go straight to Lekecoast Villa to find him. Even if it said, “Willow Sanford and dogs are not allowed inside“, she had to speak to him tonight!

Reaching the door, a thought struck her. Quickly, she turned back, snatching up a fruit knife from the bedside table, before rushing out once more. She knew how much Zayn hated her. In his heart, she was his mortal enemy whom he’d gladly tear apart. So tonight, she would give him that chance. As long as she could get 10 million to save Aaron, she would leave her life in his hands!

She only hoped he would spare her until she could exchange the money for Aaron. Then, she would hand her life over to him!
