Tina looked dumbfounded. Her cheeks heated up in embarrassment as she angrily stomped her way out of the room.

“I’m sorry for what happened. I just didn’t want anyone defaming my brother’s affection towards me.” I said to Agnrs, hoping she wasn’t mad about what happened.

“It’s fine. Tina can be quite a handful.” Agnrs said, her eyes unreadable. She clapped her hands and continued to speak.

“In any case, I have another order for you.”

“You do?” I asked.

She nodded. “This gentleman is going to settle in the capital and wants to buy a small project. I want you to follow up on the project. Can you do it?”

“Why, of course.” I said to her.

She handed me the order before walking away. As I went through it, my whole body froze.

Why was Froste the client in question?

I must have been staring at the name on the document for quite some time. Froste? How was he the client?

My mind was racing with the various possibilities of what this could mean. Was this some kind of trick by Agnrs?

From the evening at the ball, she must have known that I knew Froste. Could this be some sort of game she was playing? Maybe she was trying to tempt me; see if I’d take the bait she had dangled right before my eyes.

This order could be some sort of ploy. There was no way this was just something random. I raised my head up just as Agnrs made her way back to me.

“Have you gone through it?” she asked.

“Yes,” I paused, “But I don’t know Mr Froste well. I doubt I could properly fulfil this order.”

Call it a cop out but I didn’t care at this point. I wasn’t about to get unnecessarily entangled with him. Better safe than sorry.

Agnrs was watching me with an unreadable look in her eyes. It was hard not to squirm where I stood. Trying to keep a neutral expression was even harder.

“Oh, I see.” She finally said. “And this isn’t based on some personal reason?”

I shook my head. “Not at all.”

“Hello, Mr. Froste.” I said on the phone.

There was a long pause before he finally replied. “Giselle?”

His tone had hints of surprise in them. He probably hadn’t been expecting me to call him. I took in another breath and continued, “I’m calling in regards to the estate you are interested in.”

“Oh,” he sounded a bit deflated. ‘Right. I was thinking of getting a small estate somewhere in the capital. You can help with that right?”

I rolled my eyes. “Well, that is why I’m calling you. It’s my job after all.”

“Right, right,” he chuckled.

“I want the same agency fee as the price of the building in question.” I went straight to the point.

No point in beating around the bush. I half-expected him to be appalled that I was asking for such a huge sum of money as an agency fee.

“Done.” He replied immediately.
