The closer I looked, the more I realized they were heading straight for me. My eyes widened as the realization hit me.

I’d know their faces any day. They were the bully sisters from the days I’d been at the orphanage. Ziya and Loraine.

The two sisters had put me through hell back at the orphanage. I still remembered how I used to hide in the cupboards, praying they didn’t find me.

I wasn’t the only victim of their bullying. They’d bullied the other kids too. No one was spared in their violent rampages.

It seemed they’d recognized me as well. Their faces contorted into something sinister. I watched as they made their way into the café.

They wasted no time and headed straight for our table. Zeya was the first to take action, slamming her hand down on the table.

“You ungrateful bitch. I can’t believe it’s actually true.” She yelled angrily.

Jake got up from his seat. “You have no right to speak to her like that.”

The whole café was watching us now. I hated being the center of attention but I had a feeling she knew what she was doing. She was doing this on purpose. She had a goal in mind and she would not leave until she’d achieved said goal.

“After all this time, you didn’t even think to care about the orphanage.” Loraine shook her head, her eyes filled with disdain.

I narrowed my eyes on them. “What’s the meaning of all this?”

I could see the gears working behind their eyes. They were plotting, scheming, thinking of what next to do. They already had their plan in motion. All that was left was for them to execute it once and for all.

“Oh, I get it now.” Zeya scoffed. “Now that you’ve gotten so rich, you don’t give a fuck about the orphanage anymore. Is that it?”

The door swung open and a whole crowd of reporters rushed into the café. Their cameras were already out, filming the whole scene that was playing out.

I turned back to the two sisters. Had they done this? They looked pretty satisfied with all that was happening so assuming they did wouldn’t be so far off.

“You married a rich man and went on to forget about all the people you left behind. You should be ashamed yourself.” Loraine lashed out.

Zeya shook her head. “She drinks coffee in the big city while the we all have it tough in the countryside. Just how much of a heartless bitch are you?”

“She’s a bitch and a whore. I don’t think we need to even tell her before she knows.”

“You have five seconds to leave here or I’ll make you.” He glared at them.

That was enough for them to backtrack and head for the door. Despite this, they were still standing outside the door, waiting to see what would happen next.

Zeya and Loraine turned back to me. Judging by the look in their eyes, I could tell they weren’t done yet.

“Here’s what’s going to happen,” Loraine started, “You’re going to give us money, or we’ll go meet the reporters over there and tell them a lot of things you might not like.”

I glared at them, anger boiling beneath my skin. “Are you threatening me?”

“Think of it however you like. Give us money, or suffer the consequences.” Zeya sent me a dirty look.

I got up from my seat, enraged to worry about the reporters. They’d crossed a line by thinking I’d just sit still and let them extort me.

“Get lost!” I yelled. “You won’t be getting a cent out of me so don’t even bother trying.”

“You bitch. You think we won’t expose you?” Loraine yelled.
