THIRTY-TWO

M I R A N D A

"Mom! Hurry up! Me and uncle Louis are both ready for a night swimming." Ben knocks the bathroom door.

"Let your mom take her time." I hear Louis. "Cmon sit with me, let's watch some good ole tv."

I've been staring at myself in front of the mirror. I was wearing the red skimpy bikini that Vivian bought me and I haven't tried it on not until today. God this is too sexy for me. I stare at my bum and it looks alright. I stare at my tummy and it looks okay too. I pulled my hair up into a ponytail using my hand and then I put it down again. I exhale.

I hear three soft knocks.

"Miranda?" It's Louis.

"Uh, yeah?"

"Ben's been whining about going now."

"Oh! Uhhh, yeah. You go ahead. I'll... I'll call you once I'm done here."

"Are you okay in there?"

"Yeah! I'm fine. I just can't find my..... phone. Right." I obviously made that up.

"So you'll catch with us downstairs?"

I take a deep breath in and watch my own reflection wearing this very daring bikini. Don't I look too slutty on this one?

"I will. Yeah. You boys go ahead." I tell him.

"Alright then. Benny, lets go."

I carefully listened to them and they finally left the room. I stare at my own reflection again and this time I try to tell myself that I can strut this ridiculously sexy bikini to the public. I've never wore a bikini before after giving birth to Ben. I think I have so many stretch marks that will obviously be seen. I finally took some confidence in and grabbed my laced cover up.

I walked out of the room and headed downstairs. I began looking for them by the pool and I couldn't find the two of them. I grabbed my phone and started calling Louis. His phone was ringing and I was constantly hoping he'd pick up cos these men that were around kept gazing at me. I could hear one calling out for my attention but I didn't look at me. I kept walking away from their table as Louis' phone kept on ringing.

"Hey love." Louis answers.

I exhaled. "Hey Lou. Where are you? I can't find you anywhere."

"Found you myself."

I scanned through the people but Louis wasn't around.

"Where are you?" I asked.

"Behind you, love."

I spin around and saw Louis. He was topless and only had his board shorts on him. His tattoos were showing and his pushed back hair was wet. He looks at me with amazement in his eyes before he started walking closer to me. He hangs up and so did I. Louis looks at me and I watch as he briefly bites his lower lip before setting his eyes back on me.

"Wow." He commented breathlessly.

"Don't say anything. I'm embarrassed by my stretch marks." I begin to cover my stomach.

"What stretch marks? You look absolutely fine, love." He shoves my hand and both of us began walking together.

We went near Ben who was enjoying the pool so much.

"Having fun Benny?" I asked.

"Mom c'mon, take a dip into the pool. Uncle Louis already did." Ben tells me.

"I'll dive in a bit. I'll just--"

"No you're not. You're diving in now. Right now." Louis cuts me off and begins to carry me over his arms.

I squealed as I held onto his neck. "Louis! Oh my god Louis put me down." I begged.

Louis chuckles and I hear Ben laughing too. "Throw her to the water uncle Louis!"

"No! No you can't and you won't do that. Louis please no." I begin to kick my feet.

Louis continues to laugh and he's just a very handsome three-two year old man, "Relax. I won't throw you to the pool."

He begins to walk into the waters that was next to the kid's pool. I could feel the water growing as Louis goes deeper. Finally I was starting to get wet and as I look up to Louis he was already looking down at me. He smiles.

"You okay?" He asked.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I answered shyly. "You can.... You... You can let go of me now."

He releases me and I feel the cold water all over my body now.

"Let me take this off for you." Louis takes off my cover up and placed it on the side of the pool.

"Mom! Look at me I'm floating." Ben shows off.

"Be careful Ben." I say.

When Ben was getting busy talking to the other kids of the resort, me and Louis were still around by the pool. He was busy talking to some women, which I hated, while I was left swimming on my own. Louis would laugh when they would say something and I try not to be bothered about it. Even though I was curious as hell about what they were talking about.

"It was nice talking to you ladies." Louis tells them as he swims closer to me.

I closed my eyes as I float along the pool as I listen to the band singing some classic Ed Sheeran song called Kiss Me. Not much people were swimming since most of them were drinking on their tables and I seemed to have gotten used to my bikini now.

"Want some drinks?" I hear Louis.

I opened my eyes and I quickly stood back up on my feet. I smiled at him, "A beer?" He offered.

"I don't drink alcohol." I say.

He nods, "Alright then. No alcohols tonight. Looks like we're the only people in this pool now."

I look around, oh gosh he was right.

"Wanna get off?" He asked.

"Nah, I still wanna take my time. I seldom go to resorts like this."

Louis smiles. "Well Ben's enjoying with the other kids."

I glance at Ben. "Yeah. He's always so active and he easily makes new friends."

"Race you to the other end of the pool." Louis starts swimming.

"Hey! No fair!" I began to swim after him.

We raced to the other end of the pool and I tried my best to catch up with him. It was a close swimming race but his arms were much longer than mine. I knew I had to do something to win. I quickly decided to swim underneath him. And when I did, he looks at me and was shock to see me swimming below him. I waved my hand goodbye.

We rose our heads up and we were both panting. We successfully reached the other end of the pool. "No way in hell you did that." He says as he catches his breath.

I smiled as I push the water off my face. "It was easy. And I won by the way." I acknowledged as I stand before him.

He groans. "You were being unfair."

"I wasn't."

I watch as Louis push his wet hair back and the small droplets of water coming from his hair was hitting right on his body. His blue eyes looks at me intently and I didn't even notice that I was already resting my back at the edge of the pool. I stare at his lips and then back at his eyes.

The songs grows louder on the background and the singer had such a wondrous voice.

?And your heart's against my chest

Your lips pressed to my neck

I'm falling for your eyes

But they don't know me yet?

"Why do you look at me like that?" Louis asked.

I grinned. "Cos you're looking at me the same way."

He smiles.

All of a sudden I feel his one hand holding the curve of my body and the other hand was holding my neck. He moves closer and closer and I didn't seem to push him away even if know I had to.

"I've never dated a woman who isn't my girlfriend longer than you." He speaks.

My heart is pounding and pounding, harder every second that he comes closer to me.

"We've been dating for almost two months now." He adds.

"Are you whining about it?" I ached an eyebrow.

"No. I love it. I'm getting to know you and Ben better." He smiles.

Louis' touch was making me weak to the bones and making my heart rate abnormal. He was taller than me and when I look up to him, his eyes were looking right at my lips.

?And with a feeling I'll forget,

I'm in love now

"Busy writing a new song?" I asked.

"Yeah. I'm having writer's block."

I scrolled back up to his lyrics and as I read it, the lyrics were really goodly written.

"You wrote that?" I asked.

"Yeah. I usually write songs at this hour. It's weird."

I smiled, "That's not weird to me."

The song was still untitled and unfinished but some lyrics goes..

Those days when I couldn't help it anymore

It all felt like a blur until you made it all stop with three simple words

"I thought of you when I wrote this song." He says to me while kissing my inner arm.

I smiled.

REFRAIN 2:

You can fix me if you want

My nightmares they will haunt haunt haunt

I wonder what nightmares he is talking about. Maybe getting scared of falling in love again after what happened to him, Audrey and Harry.

"How about you change the second refrain?" I commented.

"You think I should?"

I nod. "Yeah, to make it different from the first one."

"That could work too." He answered.

"How about.." I deleted the second refrain and changed it.

Trynna fix me if you can

But trust me I have a plan

Louis looks at me with a smile, "That works as well." He kisses my arm again.

I smile. "You sure that's okay?"

He nods, "Whatever my woman likes."

I giggle. "I love hearing that."

He grins. "What? My woman?"

I nod.

"I love that too." He says.

I bent my head down to him and we kissed for a while.
