Chloe packed a small bag, with all the necessary stuff. Including her savings and her medicines.
Coming out of her room she walked into Chase's room where Sarah was sleeping. Walking towards the small cupboard she took out a shirt of her baby Chase and inhaled his scent deeply through it.
A sigh escaped her lips. Giving a teary glance to Sarah. She stared at her small safe cottage for the one last time.
Walking out of the house she gazed at it with teary eyes. She quietly plugged one of the roses from her small garden and she left.
She and Chase had so many memories in this small village Savoc. Chloe didn't have it in her to meet all the people. It'll hurt her more so she just wrote a goodbye letter to Sarah and told her to thank each and everyone here who helped her. Chloe even left some money from the cottage rent and Sarah's earnings.
She had to walk some miles all alone in this cold weather before she was able to find a bus. And that wasn't it. She changed two buses before she finally reached the city. It was already evening and the night would approach soon.
She felt all teary to be back in the city. It seemed that she was back after ages. She walked some of the same paths. With each step that took her closer to her son. Her heart pounded wildly and her mind thought of the ways she would convince Andrew to give her baby to him.
But she knew it was of no use. Andrew would never let her get close to her baby. She kept Chase away from him for three years. He will not even let her near him.
Her heart started to beat wildly when she finally reached his estate. The cab driver wasn't agreeing to come here but she requested him so he finally dropped her at Andrew's estate that was a little away from the city.
The estate was the same as before. The lights illuminating the whole mansion so beautifully. The memories came back and so did the pain. With a gulp she walked towards the main gate. Hoping the guards would recognise her and would let her in.
As soon as they saw her. They froze. Their eyes went wide as they both shared a look.
"I'm here to see Andrew. Please let me in." She said softly hoping that they would let her in but who was she kidding.
The guard who appeared in his late 30s sighed. "Ma'am, sir has strictly ordered us to not let..." he trailed off as he gazed at the younger guard for help who looked the same as him, worried and nervous.
"What?" She asked. Her voice came out soft and full of doubt. The younger guard decided to speak up.
"Not to let you in." He finished and the words were spoken from them but still they sliced her heart into two because he had ordered them so.
Her small hands around the bars of the gate tightened. "Please tell him. That I'm here to talk." She said softly, making the younger guard nod as he walked into his small booth and called someone on the intercom.
