Chloe groaned in her sleep. Her head hurts and her body aches like crazy. She rubbed her temple to ease the pain and her eyes were still closed. She winced when another wave of headache hit her. Closing her eyes more tightly she then opened them slowly and blinked.

She blinked several times to adjust her sight and when she was finally able to see fully, her eyes widened slightly when she took in the unfamiliar ceiling and she frowned, feeling a mattress under her body. It wasn't soft but it wasn't hard either.

She tilted her head to the side in her state of confusion only to jolt back in her place.

Her eyes broadened to the size of a saucer as she abruptly scooted back on the bed. Her head hurts like crazy at her sudden abrupt movement but she didn't care. There to the right of the bed sat Andrew on the chair, looking lethal and cold.

Her heart pounded wildly inside her chest as all the memories came back with full force. She was there on the cold rugged ground outside the gate of his estate for three days and he didn't let her in once. She didn't know when her body succumbed to unconsciousness due to lack of energy and food. She didn't even know how she got here and from how long she had passed out. She checked her hand and there was no IV or anything. Which meant the doctor wasn't called.

Her eyes immediately looked around the tiny room. It was small, even smaller than her room in the cottage. A single bed was present with an old looking cupboard in the corner. There was a tiny window on the left wall but there were bars on it. Her heart stopped beating when she tried to put the two and two together.

Was he caging her?

At that mere thought, her heart leapt to her throat. But she kept quiet and maintained her calm. She didn't even know if she was in the estate or somewhere else.

"Where's my son?" She asked with the mustered up courage as she turned to face him. His dark cold eyes were already set on hers, causing a shiver of fear to run down her spine.

"Your son?" The mockery in his voice was like a cold slap on her face. The man sitting in front of her wasn't Andrew. No. He was even worse than the man whom she met years ago.

"Y...yes, my son." She answered curtly, trying her very best to be strong.

But her courage was fading away slowly as she continued to match his cold gaze. There was anger in those dark orbs, rage and so much hate that it became difficult for her to look him in the eyes so she lowered her gaze.

"Look at me." He commanded angrily, making her flinch as she closed her eyes shut to gather herself up in order to face him. She took in a sharp breath as she opened her eyes and met his gaze.

"He's not your son anymore." He gritted those words out, causing her heart to constrict painfully inside her chest. Her chin wobbled as she shook her head in negative.

"N..no. He's my son." She said like a stubborn child and then Andrew let out a cold chuckle that got her insides to curl in fear.

"He's my son now. Remember how you took him away from me and kept him hidden for three fucking years. I'm going to do the same." He hissed out making every cell in her body to shiver in fear and the pain that gripped her form with his words, took her breath away.
