A loud gasp escaped her lips when his large calloused hand wrapped around her dainty neck.

And next thing her lower back was pressed against his desk and he was hovering over her like a true beast. Perhaps she put the nail on his sensitive nerve.

"Get the fuck out of your dream world Chloe." He hissed at her face making her shudder internally but she knew she was getting under his skin. A certain reaction from him other than hatred.

"Why?" She asked innocently with a pout and blinked at him. His brows shoot up at that act of hers. She used to do that all the time in the past when he wouldn't listen to her or deny her something.

The vein in his neck popped up in rage but still his hold on her neck was firm, not hurting. "This will not work on me Chloe." The way he said those words with so much malice tore her heart apart but she didn't let the hurt show on her face.

"I know." She said truthfully but this time she let her guards down and let him see the love she has for him in her eyes and he might've seen it because next thing his hold on her neck tightened making her wince.

"I know you want to hurt me." She mumbled softly, his eyes narrowed in suspicion at her act. He didn't trust her anymore, it was clear in his eyes and it was heartbreaking.

"You know nothing." He snapped, plastering his hard body against her soft one making her gasp.

"You're wrong. I know you better than you know yourself." She shouldn't have said that because next thing he hauled her up with his free hand and placed her on the desk, as he effortlessly stood in between her legs, his grip not loosening one bit from her neck.

"The Andrew you knew is no more." He growled, making her flinch.

He was hurting and she was the reason behind it.

"He's still here." She said softly while placing her palm on his rock hard chest right where his heart was. It was beating fast just like her.

"The fuck it's not!" He growled, grabbing her wrist in a lethal grip he twisted her arm behind her back, making her chest to arch up into him as her soft bosoms squished against his hard chest making her gasp.

He was glaring at her like a beast but Chloe didn't back down either, instead she glared back at him. If possible she wanted to bare her teeth at him like vampires do but unfortunately she was just a human who wanted to beat her husband's ass at the moment.

"I want divorce." He said coldly, making her scoff.

"I ain't giving any." She said casually while rolling her eyes deliberately to anger him more and that exactly what happened as he applied pressure on her arm earning a wince along with a vicious glare from her.

"You don't have a choice." He growled at her, making her shake her head in fake disappointment.

"Says, who?" She asked while blinking rapidly and giving him puppy dog eyes.

"Your boss!" He growled and inched closer to her. She gulped feeling his chest pressing against hers. His heat and his manly scent was all she could make sense of at the moment.

"Hmm." She hummed and without thinking much she moved forward and took his lips in a kiss.
