"What?" He yells over the music.
"Nothing."
"Want to dance?" Owen asks me.
I give Ian one last glare, he hasn't even noticed me yet, he must be too into her than to pay any attention to me. That hurt, because we can be in a room full of people and I always notice Ian. I can pick him out of a crowd anywhere. I grab Owen by the hand and lead him
through the crowd so we're a little closer to Ian and the girl without it being too obvious.
I release Owen's hand and start to dance, normally I don't grind against a guy I don't even know but tonight I'm making an exception. I start grinding against him to the beat of the music, there's several people blocking us from Ian's view but not so much that he can't see us if he happens to look our way. I glance over at Ian and he still hasn't noticed us. Owen grabs my leg and pulls it up to his waist and dances with me. Just as I look over toward Ian again I see he's finally noticed me but the redhead girl is still attached to him. His gaze is unreadable and when he sees me looking his way he turns his attention back to her. Owen's hand goes against my back and he grinds against me then I turn my back toward him and move my hips and drop down to the ground, rubbing against him as I go down before slowly coming back up then I turn to face him again. This is the dirtiest I've ever danced with anyone and I'm not sure how far I'm willing to take it. I guess as far as I have to, anything to get a reaction from Ian. When Owen and I finish dancing we're both out of breath.
He bends down and whispers in my ear. "You're an amazing dancer."
"Thank you. You're not so bad yourself." I flirt back. I lay my hand on Owen's hard chest, I catch Ian watching us from the corner of my eye so I press my lips to Owen's ear, "If you want another dance come find me."
He grins at me. "I definitely will."
I wink at him before going back over to Jess who's staring at us mouth agape.
I'm laughing at her shocked expression. "What was that?" She asks me.
I shrug. "Dancing." I'm so out of breath and my heart is beating out of my chest, mostly
because I know Ian just saw me grinding against another guy, I didn't know what was going to happen next.
"Honey, that wasn't dancing, you were practically dry humping him in front of everyone." She blots at her eyes with her ring finger as though she's crying. "You've made me so proud."
"Oh stop."
She laughs. "Ian looks like he's going to explode. I think he's jealous."
"I don't see why. He seems pretty content over there with that redhead."
"I don't know, he's either very egotistical or he actually has feelings for you. He looks furious." She says looking over my shoulder at Ian. I didn't risk turning around to look at him.
"He didn't even tell me he was coming to this party." I cross my arms against my chest, I felt betrayed and angry that he didn't even mention this party but I knew it wasn't fair to feel that way, I never mentioned it to him either.
"Did you tell him you were coming?"
"No. I was going to but he never texted me. Now I know why." No longer able to resist the urge I turn to look back over at Ian and his redhead. She's leaning in saying something to him and he looks focused on whatever it is she's saying.
"She's just some jersey chaser. Don't worry about her." Jess says looking at the same thing I am. I felt sick to my stomach just watching him with her, it hurt. I really thought I was the only one he's hooking up with. I'm so stupid.
"He can't care about me or he wouldn't be hanging all over her." I say trying to keep it
"Yeah, me too. I kind of got guilted into it."
I bet. "Yeah, me too. So, who's your friend?" I ask it casually because I can't help but ask. I want to know who she is and if he's hooking up with her.
"Hmm?"
"That girl you were.....talking to." More like staring at so intently you didn't even notice me but sure we'll go with talking to.
"Oh, I don't even know her, she just came up and started talking to me." He shrugs. "So I saw you dancing. Why don't you ever dance with me like that?" He winks at me and I can't help but blush. "You want to get out of here and give me some dance lessons?"
Even though I saw him flirting with another girl a few minutes ago I was still feeling myself pulled to him and I wanted so badly to go with him. It was like everything was forgiven. Just as I was about to tell him yes the redhead reappears and starts rubbing all over him before grabbing his arm and pulling on him. "Come dance with me, Ian."
Doesn't even know her huh? "I would but I promised Jess I'd drive her tonight but you two have fun." I start to walk off and bump into Owen, literally. He reaches both hands out and grasps my arms to keep me from falling from the impact.
"Whoa. You okay? You haven't been sneaking drinks on me have you?" He flashes me a
grin that I know would make most girls swoon, unfortunately I was too upset to really appreciate it.
I shake my head. "No, not me."
He flashes me a grin, his hands still on my arms. "You want to get out of here?"
