I bolt out of the room once I'm told that I could leave. I mind linked Chris to tell him I found her, and he said I could be late to class if I need to be. I rush to my locker and throw my books and pamphlets in it. Taking what I needed or the morning.
I began to even jog. Some people tried to engage me in conversation, but I did not have the time to indulge myself in small chatter. I felt the scent getting stronger and stronger and my wolf inside howled so loud. I start to walk down the stairs and I almost tripped over something, but I caught it before it could fall.
To my dismay it was not a thing. A person. A lady to be specific. The scent was so strong on her, but it was not her. I was disappointed because I have never seen a girl as beautiful as her. Eyes like and hair like a ravens. She had beautifully plumped lips. My human side wanted her right here and now, but my wolf was repulsed. Why could she not be my mate?
"It's not you..." I whisper and she looks at me a little confused. She shifts in my arms uncomfortably and I let her create a distant between us. "I'm sorry for being awkward. Forget what I said. My name is Walter, I'm new here." I say with a small smile and her eyes widen just like everyone else does.
"Well, you are going to be a thirst trap." She says nonchalantly, I desired to laugh but I wanted her to repeat herself, so I just furrowed my brows and look down at her grey eyes.
"My name is Reece. Fuck! I've got class in 2 minutes. I'll catch you later." She sprints upstairs and I see that all the students are going to class. The scent is still lingering with her, and it fades the further I get away from her. If she's not my mate, she must have been in contact with her maybe.
I walk to my first class which is Philosophy and sit somewhere in the middle. I am having a small conversation with one of the girls in the class because Christopher said we must wait for the late comer. We hear a light knock on the door and everyone in the class keeps quiet.
"That must be them." Chris says walking over to the door. He swings the door open and that sent rushes in once more.
"I'm sorry! I was getting my stuff upstairs. It won't happen again." She rambles and I smile at her direction.
"It's okay." He says to her and lets her in. she sits right in front of me, I can sense that I make her slightly nervous. Chris raises his brows at me, and I give him a small nod.
