The entire hall went silent around me. I could already tell that Anastasia was smirking at me. Maybe, she had already seen through how fucked up our relationship was. A bowl of bucket water froze me as soon as his words fell out,

" Miss Stevens is very beautiful. It's an honor to feel attracted by her."

I blinked a few times in disbelief. He got with the answer just like that, confident, arrogant and creepy. It was something like he was already prepared for the tricky questions that those reporters made for him. Now, I was more convinced that he was the lead of the Mafias.

Murmurs from those witty girls broke my attention from the TV. In a snap of the moment, their attitude began to change towards me. Their gazes told me that they were scared of me now.

Power..Money..That all could do to you..

"He is interested in you surely.", Jk spoke shaking his head slightly with a smile. I just returned a stiff smile, unsure about how to react because I never wanted to be here because of him. I needed to settle this score with him as soon as we met.

Anastasia slammed something on her dresser, catching our attention. Her assistant soon leant onto her to whisper confidently,

" Don't worry about that wench. Mr.Jasper dotes on you more, Anastasia."

I rolled my eyes at their concerns. Whoever she fucked, it was never my business. I didn't know after many years, why did she still care about me?

" Wow! Wow! Congratulations!", Jk came to me first as soon as I climbed off the stage. According to their words,all the investors were impressed with me. Although I wasn't the show opener,they praised me more. I was grateful for the little achievement today although it was everything for Luca. At least, he didn't disgrace me today.

We hugged shortly after going to the dressing room. I wanted to get out first before meeting Anastasia again because all she could do was spoil my mood. Picking up my staff as fast as possible, I headed straight for the exit. A voice halted my track, my breathing faded as soon as I heard him,

" Kiera..."

I turned and saw my long lost boyfriend, Jasper. Instead of calmness, I detected a sleeping storm behind his eyes today. He was probably here to pickup Anastasia. He took a step forward to speak calmly, his eyes looking around cautiously,

" I heard that you are seeing Mr.Azrael De Luca?"

Oh Come on! Not again! I was already exhausted with this topic!

But I played cool in front of my ex who left me for my best friend. Crossing my arms over my chest, I replied firmly,

" I think, it's none of your business."

His jaw clenched slightly, replied after taking a sharp breath,

" I am just concerned about you. Listen, Mr.Luca isn't that simple. He comes from a difficult background. It's better that you stay away from him."

Good lord! I know him better than you!

I scoffed back, getting on my heels again to walk for my car,

" Thanks but I don't care about your comment."

I started walking to my car again until a black SUV was spotted nearby. Luckily, Jasper didn't chase me this time as Anastasia's voice began to come from indoors. The poor guy didn't dare to affect his image in front of Anastasia as always. The rays from the headlight blocked my sight which happened to prevent my sight from the front. I heard Matteo's voice, cold, humourless like his master,

" Miss, Luca wants to see you tonight."

My lips tightened in distress. Good! Because I wanted to see him too. I wanted to tell him that I didn't want pity from him and don't fuck with my business anymore.
