"Search the mountains for him" the guards ran up the mountains in search of Roman. Noir held Lily's wrists tightly.

"Let her go" I moved towards them. Thane pulled me back.

"Don't fucking speak" he was shaking in anger. I wasn't sure if the anger was towards me or Roman. I felt his anger through the bond and I prayed to the goddess that it wasn't directed to me.

"She should be the least of your worries"

"He's hurting her"

"No he's not. She's going to be punished anyways"

"Punished? No, it was my fault. I commanded her to follow me"

"And you'll be punished too" he threw me over his shoulder and took me to the car. Noir and Lily followed us into the car and Noir drove us home. I didn't have a chance to ask Lily how she was because Thane carried me out as soon as Noir parked and into the room.

Kyros was waiting in the room when we got there. He cleaned my wounds and bandaged my leg. He gave me some pain tablets and left the room.

Thane was pacing furiously and I was scared to say anything.

"How could you leave your guards?"

"I just wanted to explore on my own. Please don't punish them. Especially Lily, I made her come with me."

He looked deep in thought. "They'll all pay for letting you get away and you my little kitten will be punished" I shivered.

"Get some rest. I'll be back" he left the room and I lay in bed. "Don't step your foot out of this room until I say so" he slammed the door angrily. I put my ankle on a pillow and I slept off.

When I woke up, an unfamiliar maid was in the room. "Who are you and where is Lily?"

"I'm your new maid and I don't know who Lily is"

"Lily is my friend. Who the hell assigned you to me"

"The king did" I looked at Noir.

"I do not need another maid. I want Lily"

"Lily cannot be here. She's serving her punishment" but Thane told me he wasn't going to punish her.

"I want to speak to Thane"

"The king commanded you stay in bed"

"Try and stop me" I stood from the bed and the maid looked panicked. Noir's eyes rolled to the back of his head and a moment later I felt a pressure at the back of my head.

"Babe" Thane's voice was loud in my head.

"I want Lily back" i was going to ignore the fact that he called me babe and my heart was dancing in my chest.

"You're in no position to make demands"

"I'm not? You promised not to punish her and you changed her without asking me"

"She's suspended and you'll have to deal with the new one"

"Thane. THANE!!" There was no reply. I looked angrily at Noir.

"If anything happens to Lily, you'll have me to deal with" The door opened and Jairus came in. He nodded at Noir and kissed my cheeks.

"How are you feeling? And why do you look angry"

"Your father took Lily away from me"

"The cute, little one?" I nodded and Noir growled. I scowled at him. He had no right to do that.

"Don't frown" he pulled my cheeks. "After her punishment she'll be back."

"Really? How long is her punishment?"

"I do not know. But you and I can go out and spend some time together"
